Unpopular Yoyo Opinions

This is perfect

You couldn’t have picked a better skit to express my feeling about this. I may be nerdy, but god damn shoot me when I start collecting MIB stuff for display in hopes to sell it some day. Some people just take this stuff too seriously.

Well then you need to change your answer to the $50 question. :man_shrugging:

If it was $50 more though it wouldn’t be the cheapest Ti anymore!

Also comics aren’t generally worth much either. Only very, very specific issues are worth anything at all. Same with any tcg outside of MtG. No your base set Pokémon cards aren’t worth anything.

My friend owns a comic book/mtg store and so many people are blown away when they bring their old Pokémon cards and are offered 6 cents per card. That and people who he just refuses to take their comics because they aren’t worth taking up the inventory space.

Who said investment? It’s a very real thing that lots and lots of people resell their yoyos. There’s a whole board right on this forum dedicated to it.

Does this not imply investment at all? I didn’t buy it with the intent to maintain resell price. Lots of people resell yoyos, but I don’t. I thought we were in the Unpopular opinions thread? Im willing to bet you arent the only one thinking im a jackass for sparking my Vayder on day one. I don’t care, which is why I bought two. I am going to make sure to maintain the other as best I can, but mostly for my enjoyment, not for how much I can get for it on the BST.

I for one don’t care if anyone sparks their TiVayder. Why would I care?

I do have a some-what sought after single digit one though

Aw, hey man no hard feelings. I certainly wasn’t implying anything like this. We’re just having a playful back and forth.

I personally couldn’t care less about what you do with your stuff. You do you man

I have no goal of reselling any of my new yo-yos I pick up at this point. I was a BST fiend when I was younger but I don’t feel like going through that anymore. I’m trying some design trends I missed out on to nail down my preferences for good and then only buying stuff that matches them.

I recall you said you were in college before?

Yeah I don’t think I’ll be BST fiending as much once I graduate and have a nice job either :joy:

Not at all, but there are definitely people shaking their heads (I even got a PM about it). It doesn’t bother me, I bought this yoyo for me with my money and I couldn’t care less if people disapprove. At least I already have another yoyo that I don’t have to worry about dinging

Yeah last time I was involved in the community and yoyoing frequently was when i was in college.

I thought you were part of the vayder hype crew? I don’t care what you do with your vayder, these guys are just bustin’ yer chops

I don’t mean any offense to you BST guys either, but honestly the amount of time and effort I spend selling a yoyo, I could make by actually working (I budget and am not hard for cash). Have graduated college ~7 years ago. Maybe if I wanted to try everything id be a BST guy, but I already know my preferences and now only buy the occasional yoyo that I really want. Out of all my yoyos, I only have probably one that id think of parting with. The rest I like.

Oh, I was. But I’m just sayin’.

And trust me, the chop busting is being reciprocated

BSTs aren’t just for guys looking for throws on the cheap. They are also the only way to get yoyos (or colorways) that aren’t made anymore.
