Ti Walkers might come back if Heath gets 200 likes on this link.

I fail to see how it’s selfish to want someone to stick to their word. If anything it’s selfish to want him to make more. I have literally nothing to gain by no more TiWalkers being made. I will never own one, and I’m ok with that.
A “stupid promise” is still a promise. The yoying community is small and built a lot on trust. what’s the gain of sacrificing that?

After reading this and the rest of this thread I can’t really see any harm in there being more Ti Walkers. If putting out more Ti Walkers would mean that VsNYYC would have more capitol to grow there brand and release more yoyo’s than that right there is enough of a reason to support the Ti coming back.

I’m a proud owner of a Ti Walker (number 52) and it it is my favorite throw. I did have to do a lot of searching for one and did pay quite a bit for it but I feel it was more than worth it. I do realize that by there being more Ti Walkers on the market that the value of mine would go down a bit but I did not buy it to make a profit I bought it to have fun throwing it. With more Ti Walkers on the market that would mean that more people could have the joy of owing one of the best yoyo’s.

There are also different options to this like making other VsNYYC models in Titanium. How about a SADR or a Grievous done in Ti. With the reputation that the Ti Walker has any Ti yoyo the Heath would put out would be a huge seller. And if Heath decides to put out more Ti Walkers that would be great because I would love to have another.

Here’s a sweet idea that’s probably WAY too expensive to do. Make about 150 of every VSNYYC yoyo in Ti that hasn’t been done yet. But when they’re sold on the site, they’re sold at random. You buy one (lets say for $200) and you find out what it is when you get it in the mail. idk, just a random thought.

I think Heath should right now focus on making new throws and worry less about the Titanium yoyos right now. I think he should do Titanium yoyos in the future, but right now how the economy is it will be a bit too much for a consumer to buy. I think Heath should focus right now in building up his company with new and awesome throws! Leave the Titanium yoyos in the future when you have more capital! God Bless - Moefv

The people being “selfish” are the poeple who have already paid for their yoyos and have supported VSNYYC with their money? Right.

And I suppose the people who argue that the above group should just go suck an egg because they now want the Ti-Walker…are being…righteous?

Businesses aren’t bound by promises made to paying customers?

And if they do break a promise, it’s then on the previous, paying customers to sell their yoyos in order to protect the investment they’ve made?

I think you need to step back and get a little perspective. This argument you’re making is incredibly illogical.

Solution: make a TI Walker 2.

Make some slight tweaks and call it good.

Enough said.

Move along.

You make no logical argument that I can identify.
Your “argument” is non-existant. Your points - are pointless.

My argument is quite logical. Claiming it is not will not make your point any more than it already is: nonsense.

Grow up.

i see a lot of intelligent people getting frustrated over an already decided topic.

there is no reason for this argument to continue.

You say these things repeatedly, but have not once provided any reasoning behind your logic. Please point out why you think people’s views are illogical so we can discuss it. Right now this is a competition of who can yell the loudest on an internet forum.

Heath, here is my final opinion on the topic.

I do believe way back in the day when the Ti-Walker first came out we talked on the phone and I said you should reconsider the whole limited run idea. I will say it again here now, reconsider it. If for no other reason than you have always been about VsNYYC yo-yos being for players and not to be scalped for exorbitant amounts of money. Making a limited release goes against the scalping that you loath so much.
I want to see VsNYYC succeed in the community. For that you need capital to continue making your designs. If making a second run of T-Walkers will give you a leg up then go for it, collectors be damned. If you think you will get a better influx of capital by moving on to a new design, like the Septopus, then shelve the Ti-Walker and push out a new design. What it boils down to is that I would like to see you do what is best for the company, I have no problem with whatever decision you make.

It’s over…now it’s a competition to see who can get the thread locked the fastest…

I know right. the only reason im still fallowing this thread is to see how many pages it get to till it got locked.

I think the time of the Ti-Walkers is now officially passed.

Companies make and discontinue products all the time. Why should VsNYYC be any different? I mean, it’s not as dramatic as Cisco making you buy a $750K core router with a 3 year maintenance contract only to tell you in 36 months “Oh, we don’t support that anymore, we have a new box for $900K that does all the same things and a 3 year contract” and we start the cycle all over again.

No more Ti-Walkers. That’s fine. Move onto other products. Makes sense to me.

My argument that sellers are bound to promises they’ve made to customers is illogical and pointless, and I need to “grow up” for believing that to be true. ::slight_smile:

Kudos to Heath for making the illogical decision to stick to his word. I don’t know the ins and outs, but I do know that VSNYYC is one of the most valuable names in the game. I’m sure losing the opportunity to recreate a very successful throw hurts to some degree, but that one throw is not the reason people are clamoring for more VSNYYC releases. It’s because every one of them has been fantastic. I see no reason why any other model wouldn’t be just as successful as the Ti would have been.

'YoyoDoc, I see where you’re coming from. I really do. But the fact of the matter is that you’re going to be a hard person to trust on the BST now. The implications of what you said extrapolate to you being willing to make a deal with someone. And go back on it the moment you found one you thought was better. What you’re talking about is good business as far as short-term profit, but about as ethical as Enron.

(and I say)

I have been messing with yoyos since 98. I have dealt with people from all over the World. I have Never messed up anybody on a yoyo dealing… Ever. I have never backed out of a deal or tried to change a ‘plan in the middle of negotiations’. I Always make sure the other person is 'taken care of ‘always’. NYYR> I have been: buying, selling and trading cars and Harley motorcycles for 43 years. I have Always made sure I came out slightly on the low side of any deal; so the other person was happy with the deal. I have been an Ebay for over 12 years and have a 100 percent feedback rating(my Ebay ID is 8093. < read the feeback people have left for/about me in that last decade+. I challenge anybody to come forward and say/share anything about coming up short on ANY yoyo transaction ‘involving me’. In the past 15 years I have been modding yoyos, I have Never charged a single penny for any yoyo I have worked on for Anybody… and I Always Pay for the Return shipping with my own money.< Did you get that? I Pay for the return shipping myself: Priority Mail, delivery confirmation and insured. I track the packages and email the recipient immediately after I notice the package should have gotten there. Just to make sure ‘they know’.

You read far too much into my character from the drift you get from my Heath/TiWalker viewpoint. You know what ‘they say’ about Assumptions. ‘I’ am the person you would want to deal with on any BST.

If every BST deal involved me; there would be no Complaint posts on the boards. None; like in Zero.
This is my creedo on deals: Anything short of doing something right is doing it wrong. It burns the same number of calories making friends as making enemies. The Devil is in the details. Once you burn somebody; you can’t back up. Always follow through on a deal if for no other reason than to keep people from saying you failed. Deal with people like ‘you’ are on the other end’. Never lie and you don’t have to remember what you said. Make Square deals so they don’t come back to haunt you. Keep yourself is Good standing so you Never have to be afraid to run into somebody you have dealt with. Ten years after you make a deal with somebody; if you see them again; you want them smile and wave at you; not frown and point at you.

Do’t get me wrong, now. I am not taking it personally; what you assumed about me. Why? Simple. Because you don’t really know me well enough to pin a valid character flaw on me. I am simply sharing my personal view/history/practices in the way I ‘make deals’. Now you know and and don’t have to make any more silly guesses about my BST worthy status.

The reason he thought that about you is because the position you had been holding up to this point about the Ti was the EXACT opposite of the way you claim to run your deals.

What we’ve been arguing for is the way you do business. Up front, no lies, no guesswork, and anything discussed therein is valid forever. In fact, you argued it for us…

This is exactly why re-issuing the Ti would be a poor decision.

That’s Numberwang!

Hey Heath, why don’t you make a delrin yoyo? Everyone loves delrin, it costs less than Ti, and I would definitely buy one. It would also be my first Vs Newton yoyo

jeez, this needs to be locked. Heath has already decided, and if he’s going to work on other designs, he isn’t going to discuss it in this thread. I’m sick of seeing this thread in my “replied topics,” so can we all agree to just NOT post here?

i get asked this A LOT, and here is my opinion on Delrin

-delrin is inconsistent, and B grade rate is terrible
-delrin requires machining just like Al, so costs arent nearly as cheap as youd think

with that said, i seriously doubt VsNYYC will EVER make a Delrin yoyo (though we are experimenting with rims). its just a fun gimmick IMO with lots of limitations when compared to Al.

this is the last post im putting in here. its just an argument on an already made decision. can a mod please just bomb this thread?
