The yoyo brand SPYY is closed??

Wow, this is truly a shame. I’m pretty disappointed with this as SPYY was one of my companies to try this year if I had the opportunity.

Sad to see you go, and I wish all of them the best.

I’ve been working on getting at least 1 of every model. I’ve been pretty successful so far owning 18 different models. Gotta keep working.

Well that sucks! Even though I havent owned a single SPYY, I defently want to own a Solaris and Pro.

If anyone has one PM me now!

What a sad depressing day ;( a lot of exceptional players up for grabs!

No!!! My favorite company :frowning:

This is very sad news. I love SPYY throws the punch line being one of my all time favorites. I always felt that SPYY flew under the radar but apparently to far under as they are now gone. Very sad indeed.

Sad news. I heard it on Instagram and literally dropped my phone.

Aw man. :-\ I’ve never even tried any of their throws, but they were one of my favorite companies. Sad to see them go…

On a side note, I wonder what will happen to their team. Like who’ll they’ll get picked up by, etc. I don’t expect many of them (mainly Alexis JV, Devon Jackson, Sebby, and Guy Wright if he wants to be sponsored again) to remain unsponsored for that long.

Wow. Sad day when the brand you have been hoping would make a killer come back falls flat. You will be missed.

That made me lol

What a shame I didn’t even get to try one of there yo-yos they sound amazing. oh well let’s hope some other companies stop making yoyos.

I hope closing the company was for the best.

…How? I just like them as a company. They seem to really know what’s up, and they have an absolutely great team. Even though I haven’t tried anything by them, I think really highly of them. I honestly don’t know what’s funny about that…

Its like saying “I’ve never tried a General-Yo but they’re dead smooth.”

Not really. I didn’t say a single thing regarding their throws. Just the company as a whole. I’ve followed them for a while, and they just seem like a really nice company. I like the way they present themselves, I really like their team, and how the company is over all. They just seem like a really good company, and I really like them for that. Not for the throws necessarily (although I’m sure they’re great), just the company as a whole.

Wut?

That is a crying shame…

Their last couple of YoYo’s, Dynamo & Amplifier are some of my favorite carry around throws. Classic shapes that were manufactured very well.
I hope everyone who still wants one has the ability to find what they want before they start to disappear. I’m going to grab a few myself just to insure I will always have some of their throws on hand.

I wish them all the best in their future endeavors. I will miss them. :frowning:

Dang, I tried some of their throws at PNWR but never really owned one. I’ll pick a punchline up when I can.

I have 3 of them, ronin, addiction and a star ok500. I really like them all.

This news really surprises me. My only SPYY is a Spyder II which is an outstanding undersized throw. I’ve always wanted an El Ranchero but never convinced myself to spend the money.

I’m going to take a guess here and speculate Abby accidently left out a word she intended to use;
“oh well, let’s hope other companies don’t stop making yoyos.”
