Anthony’s freestyle was one of the best things I’ve ever seen. Worth the 5+ year wait for him to get back into finals. Kid’s an artist.

That’s exactly what I thought when I saw the hub! The rims are a bit different though.
It’s got that same short, flat hub and that undercut h-shape thing.
The thing is I didn’t like it.
Now before you start to hate me. Lol.
Read this. When I watch a freestyle or a yoyo vid what I look for is wooohooo moments like you know awesome stuff that makes your jaw drop.
Now you’ll say but Zach was jaw dropping but to me it was not.
In fact when I was watching the live stream the 3 to 5 I watched in 1a I only watched takeshi full otherwise if the start is boring I stopped or paused it.
Like when I watch iori I want it to keep going because of that j d stuff.
And just to be sure I watched the Zach freestyle again I was like so eager stop it as I didn’t like it. But just in between the performance I saw those j d moments and I thought now this is good but then it again got boring.

I love how competitive the WYYC actually is. The results all come down to the freestyle on the day, with discards and the slightest mistakes completely shifting the results. Keeps things exciting since you can never guarantee who’s going to win, even the best can have a bad freestyle. What a contest. 
Who won in the women’s division? I didn’t see that in the YoyoNews article.

Isn’t she from the U.S.?
She lives in the Czech Republic now as she’s studying there (#nostalker). I’m not quite sure how that qualifies her to represent the Czechs in the contest though. Maybe that’s what she put in the “country” box when registering… :-X
