The usefulness of string cutters

I just moved and I found that the yyj string cutter has proven very useful for cutting open the impossible tape.
Has anyone else ever had this experience?

Wait till you try using your “string cutter” on a sealed envelope – your mind will be blown. :exploding_head:

I miss YYJ :frowning:

I keep one of these with my keys that makes short work of boxes and packages:

And I’m a big fan of small folding scissors for this hobby!

I tend to just burn my excess string off with my laser vision

Actually lighters work surprisingly well

If you carry one, and if it hasn’t run out of fluid, and if you don’t set yourself on fire.

True, i don’t carry one, but there is always someone with one around, and it takes but a split second. I found it useful when in a pinch with no sharp object around (including steps, brick walls etc anything)

Might do fine for your average arsonist

Thank you

Another use for sharp yoyos - they’re really underappreciated

I’ve harnessed the power of lightning to cut my strings! A friend gave me a plasma lighter .

Ummm, yes. That’s what they were originally designed/sold for. :upside_down_face:

To paraphrase E. B. White, explaining a joke is like dissecting a frog. You understand it better but the frog dies in the process.
