I learned a lesson don't burn frays on string. Looking for recommendations. Thank you

I learned a lesson do not burn the frays on the string. All my string was starting to fray out so I quickly burned the string but I noticed it made the string thinner and they did not grab anymore.

Easy tricks like the plastic whip would not bind back to me. It’s my fault lol I didn’t think about how it would affect the string.

I’m now in the market for new string. Let me know what string you are using and why. Most of my yo are undersized C bearing with one being a forma normal size yoyo.

I was thinking string in the medium range thickness but I need to buy a lot of it since I’m now out completely. Please leave links to said string

Yeah, strings are to yo-yos like tires are to motorcycles, nothing good comes from trying to keeping them on too long.

Well what I thought was is if I could burn the phrase off, I could make the string last longer but then I realized if you burn it even fast it makes the string thinner and it no longer wants to grab. So five yo-yos five strings I ruined. I should have just tried it on one but it’s okay. I’m out of string now so what I have to do is I’m going to have to buy a large collection of string but I have five new strings on and they’re all working great now.

So I think it’s time for me to invest and a hefty amount of stringSo I think it’s time for me to invest and in a hefty amount of string

I’ll tell you coming in all string recommendations at this point cuz I’m going to have to buy a lot of string because I am completely out now

Zipline’s Executive Class is high nylon content blend that I think does a good job of combining the longevity of nylon while taming the bounciness by using polyester in the core.

Relatively expensive, so I wouldn’t buy a large quantity without knowing it will work for you, but well worth the price if it does.

I like the W1ld signature string a lot as a bulk string, long term nice nylon from Zipline, Big Red, etc is definitely worth the cost for the longevity and softness.
