The Ti-Vayder Experience

This really surprises me. I’m curious if the sellers didn’t like the yoyo or if they just got in a bind and need cash.

I’m surprised it took this long for people to start selling them below retail tbh

I’d imagine that there were a lot of impulse buys

I had an unexpected yoyo purchase, so I posted everything I felt safe getting rid of, to keep things balanced. Why sell the Vayder? Because I figured I could buy another one in the future.

That being said, I will be taking down my FS post later today. I sold the high dollar item, so I am good now.

You’re totally right. Titanium is titanium… so those of us who didn’t have one already needed one…

Yup, I’m sure that for the majority of us this is our first titanium, and raw is classic. I think I even voted black on the poll, but ended up buying a raw and gray, lol

It may very well be my imagination, but I swear that a titanium yoyo hurts more than an aluminum yoyo when it smacks you in the knuckles.

Relative to weak human flesh both are incredibly strong to the point that I don’t think anyone could really tell the difference… but as far as metals go, titanium vs. aluminum is no contest at all, titanium is a far harder material. Heck it even beats steel.

If you look at the original concept behind the 888 it is exactly that - the 8 is the floor of going up and the 3 is the symbiotic opposite. =)

Your last statement! Depends on the grade…there are grades of steel that are harder than titanium.

The extra density of titanium would be noticeable upon impact. It is proportionally more powerful of an energy transfer per square inch, so yea, you can notice it.

I think for science purposes, like to really know, like really really know for SURE…

We’re going to need a yoyo made of weak human flesh.

I think you may have misinterpreted the argument here… What we really need to do is setup a rig that will shoot a yo-yo square at your knuckles. Then test it with each material type to see how much you can feel the difference.

But to be completely consistent with this, wouldn’t we have to wait until the damaged area of the knuckles healed before trying another test with a different material? This test could take a while to complete.

Unless we find a set of twins? Four hands, four materials.

Yeah good point… We might just need to go with the forehead. Plenty of room for 4-5 hits in different areas.

Nope. Flesh yoyo. It’s the only way.

And we will call it… 5A May

Have you ever heard the tragedy of 5A May? It’s not a tale the 1A players would tell you.

Flesh yoyo will be called Mind Flayer. Fight me.

I wonder what Illithids think of “Mind Flayer” becoming a meme. I mean, they didn’t pick that undignified nickname for themselves, so maybe they’re glad to be rid of it.
