The Ti-Vayder Experience

I wanted to go black so badly but went raw because I’m thinking that one of the well known anodizers will do a batch, maybe even come out of retirement for this epic release. You listening @jasonwongzero ?

I think we should declare today National TiVayder Day.

(June 12th doesn’t have nearly enough National Days anyway.)

Fun Fact: in addition to being National TiVayder day it’s also
National Loving Day - on this day in 1967 the US Supreme Court passed a decision to strike down laws in several states that banned interracial marriage.
Also it’s Philippines Independence Day!

Which is exactly why I wound up buying two.

These numbered? My happiness is almost overshadowed by the jealousy towards whoever is getting those. Can you tell us the plan?

@codinghorror was generous enough to let me work on these and its up to him to decide on what to do with them. It’ll be a little while as I’m still mid house move. At the moment I’m not planning on doing more than the ones I have and I haven’t figured out what I want to do with them. They are not numbered.

YYE is the best and I always buy from them first. In fact I’ll be ordering a couple more throws from YYE tonight!

Many thanks to @codinghorror @HVizier and @AndreBoulay for helping this come together.

Has anyone else been so excited that they’ve reread the website page a few times?

Haha I did go back to see if they were selling any of the ceramic bearings. Sadly not.

I agree that I wish those were available for purchase. Definitely something to look into later on though.

I am curious about this too. They need to put a stock tracker on the website so we can watch the numbers go down.

OK International fam! @Skwan informed me that Hong Kong is now a shipping option, so I will have a raw (unless it’s #69) that I can proxy across the planet if you need it. I noticed some of you folks in Australia had $60 shipping?! I can First Class it to you for about $15 to most of the world, plus the throw cost. It’ll just take a while of course.

Edit: This shipping method is uninsured, even insured packages are not insured after they leave the US. I’ve never had an issue, but you never know! Insured packages are at least $60, but I’m happy to ship however you want to pay, lol.

@codinghorror is there a way for you to see how many greys have sold out? Trying to make sure I can get one but also trying to save for my Disney trip in 2 weeks. Thinking to myself, ti vayder comes once a lifetime. Disney will always be there. :joy::joy::joy:

I will be there for my birthday this year.

Just a heads up for people working as a proxy, make sure all parties involved realize that if USPS lost the package it’s not covered. I’ve lost several international packages, and according to USPS once it leaves the country your insurance is no longer valid. The insurance is only while it is in the US, they are not responsible for what happens when it leaves the US. That is when using First Class Mail.

So if you ship a yoyo to Australia, and it gets lost, the person who bought it should be prepared to take a loss, and not come back on the person helping them. May sound obvious, but in my experience it’s sadly not always the case.

That is very good to know. I haven’t ever had issues, but I know that doesn’t mean they don’t happen. I’ll add it to my post!

@codinghorror or @HVizier do you have total first day sales info? Or do you guys prefer to keep the nitty gritty of the numbers out of public eye? I’ve been really interested in this project from the start not only personally but almost as a scientific experiment. I’d love to see the data!
