Modified is the shape that most modern looping yoyos have. It’s a “modified” Imperial shape.
Didn’t someone say double v for the yoyos that have the “protostar shape”? Because it is made of 2 Vs?
Well, let’s take a better look at the Protostar. By the way, the last one, the modified looking one was a Popstar.
#27… A V I guess?
I think this is a double v because the shape makes 2 Vs. A shallow one made by the rims and a deeper one made by the catchzone area. Hopefully this makes sense. I attempted to make a graphic but I couldn’t figure out how to get it from word to this so yeah
Okay…try this one…

I’d call that a modern organic shape. It has a organic shape, but is kinda boxy. Is that a SPYY Spyder 2?
Organic V.
Organic! I love this throw, it’s one of my favorites!

I get what you’re saying, but I don’t think the Protostar is a double V. C3 uses use that term to market and describe their Yeah3, based on my understanding, a Double V is when there is a step near the catch zone, and the Protostar doesn’t have this step.
Perhaps someone could post pictures of the Yeah3 so we could compare what C3 calls a Double V to what Rayton calls a Double V? I can’t at the moment, I’m on mobile. Would we call the Protostar shape a Flared V? A Winged V?
I am taking notes from you guys about that Protostar. I could go with those terms…as long as it’s a V…I’m sold. Definitely see that. The last throw…the organic, was a Ministar. Such a cute little throw. Like the Popstar, it throws you off a bit seeing a photo bigger than the actual size of the yo-yo. Just like seeing it from another perspective.

Bet you can guess this immediately haha. Another throw was misidentified as one of these…
Now this is one sexy throw, one may even say HOT! (PUNPUNPUN)
To me, this is a bell.
Bell.
Bell
Is square a shape or a charecteristic used to describe yoyos that are as tall as they are wide?
Definitely a bell guys, and it is definitely a H.O.T. throw too.
#31?

I certainly see that throw as being V-Shaped, with maybe a hint of “H” too.
I think that’s a v.
Maybe a Gnarwal?
