I don’t have a printer and didn’t print that. I also think it looks cool like a disco ball. Round and smooth is hella over done lol I am being silly but cool thanks for the tip yo Ill let my bro that printed them know. i think it had to do with something on his end opening the .stl to print bc it was smooth in the render my bro that did the cad sent. But yeah i dont mind that disco ball effect ha

I was unsure if the facets were intentional but thought they looked cool enough to keep them in my version.

I think the facets were a happy accident. I did the same thing on my first printed yoyo.

Hey y’all, I’ve been hibernating and working on some tricks lately. I present two beginner-friendly intermediate tricks, the Banana Turnover (Mach Banana) and Mage Hand.

Mach Banana

I discovered banana turnover while repeating banana slides and had a happy accident trying to rollout on the dismount, kept at it for a bit and found the mach 5ish bit to unwind everything back into a trapeze stall so I could make it a repeater.

Mage Hand

Mage hand was pure curiosity and trying to do something interesting with a 1.5 stall, but it needed an ending. Keeping with the curiosity I tried to end with a hand stall (never done one before) and the plop back into trapeze mount was right there :sign_of_the_horns:

  1. Please let me know if these are already named tricks, they seem simple enough that they may have been discovered already. ↩︎

The Henry.

It’s just press fit so I could have done it ages ago

Mine is a ways lighter than yours at around 54g (scale out of battery. Too lazy).

Every year we make hand built clay ornaments as a family. 3 years ago my wife made me this chicken/yo-yo ornament. She loves chickens, I love yo-yos! Haha she depicted Blueberry :blueberries:, my trusty RBC, which is kind of wild because I had just started messing with it in fixie-mode for about a month at the time. Now it has been my companion EDC yo-yo for 3 years! Time flies! :yoyo:

Also fun fact, I submitted a photo of this ornament in the YYE holiday photo contest that year (2022) and I won staff pick and got a GoodLife Pharaoh + as a prize! Still a super cool yo-yo. Thanks again @YoYoExpertEric & @AndreBoulay!

That is how we play with YoYo’s by throwing them away from ourselves

bob rule on the smothers brothers in 1987. the absolute DEFINITION of consistency in fixed axle performance. just crazy to imagine this in context of the technology and trick lexicon of the era.

So satisfying to watch…and that’s the big thing with me and 0a - I still enjoy 1a a lot but there’s just something very zen-like with 0a that just hits different, and a call back to an even simpler time. Love some flyaway dismounts.
