The 0A Thread (Fixed Axle & Modern Responsive)

YYE restocked their cotton string. Also Tom Kuhn cotton is great.

I love Kot’n. But, I found it early on in my fixie journey and just stayed with it, so I haven’t tried too many other cotton strings that I know of, other than what comes with whatever yoyo I buy, and none of those have ever been even close to as good as Kot’n.

I really like Kot’N for my smooth axle/walled fixies like no jives and TMBR’s. For rougher one piece ones I like to break them in with some YYE cotton.

And you can buy a 100 pack. It’s great.

I grabbed the YYE 100 pack of cotton and some YYSL Nytro string that I’ve been wanting to try.
That should hold me over for a minute.

Exactly.

lol that’s a bummer

I use it so much that it’s worth it to just pay shipping for 100pk. It’ll keep me a whole year.

I havent used YYE Cotton yet. What is the difference between standard and Type 10?

Regular is IIRC Type 8 and type 8 is thinner than Type 10.

Type 10 is frequently marketed as “beginner” string but I prefer it on some fixies.

As needed. Sorry, lame answer, but true.

If I’m playing heavily, I’ll snap a string every few days.

I would get type 10 if you’re going to order some. I have some of the 6 and don’t really care for it.
