The 0A Thread (Fixed Axle & Modern Responsive)

Thank you! Yes, there should be plenty of string left around the axle for a regen(unless your string is much shorter, of course). I’m not doing any rewind. When doing Mystics, Static Hops, Varials, etc., you can lose some wind around the axle, but you can minimize how much you lose by not pulling on the string. If you pull the string with the yoyo in the air or stalled, it unwinds from the axle. I probably use a little longer string than normal for fixed axle play though. My string comes to my belly button. I also double twist my loop around the axle so my yoyo is 100% fully responsive(no sleep). I lean more towards a kendama-esque style of yoyo, heavy on stalls, mystics, flips, slacks, balances, hops, slides. None of my tricks involve sleeping. I prefer the reliability in response. It also gives me slightly more string to work with because I can regen with less string around the axle easier. I don’t recommend it because it’s unconventional, but that’s how I play and what I prefer. You can do any of my tricks either way. Sleeping tricks are great though, sometimes I take out the twists and do those too…
