Strings brands

Is there Zipline in gold that I can find? Like goldenrod? Or any Nylon? Idk why I’m asking you but I have too many questions about string due to how nice they can all look.

zipline executives come in a really nice shade of gold!

I think another reason I like bulk instead of boutique is because I really like to experiment with tricks by doing the tricks “wrong”. Sometimes, I end up with gnarly knots, and with the boutique string, I always wince when I get a knot in it. I suppose that’s similar to dinging your yoyo, or something like that, but sometimes when you pull out a knot you catch a thread and it feels like a string ding.(haha what? Yeah I know) To be fair, I’ve used 2 zipline strings for 2-3 months off and on, and they were decent, played well, and I don’t hate them. But I ended up gravitating towards bulk, to “keep the boutique nice.” When I realized that, boutique was just ineffective for me and how I like to yoyo. To each their own, though. I still look at boutique string, big red has caught my eye recently, but I’m not sure I’ll be converted any time soon.

Boutique spun poly that I have tried is not significantly longer lasting (edit: than bulk). It’s down to whether someone likes the formula or other features and doesn’t mind the cost.

Blends with enough nylon content to have real longevity are dominated by nylon in their other characteristics. Especially stretchiness, fluffiness and slickness. These are features that anyone could prefer, but they are differences.

Trilobal poly is the longest lasting, IME, but it has minimal stretch and loft, so it could be taken as relatively harsh.

Yoyostringlab has made me a loyal customer. I’ve tried a bunch of other strings and always go back to Venom or KaPow!
