It could, and it will probably give you slippy binds. Not a very good idea.

if you fail you might have a slippery bind, Maybe you can do a reverse starbust but I don’t know if that will work

I don’t know… I sanded the starburst off of all my Dark Magics and siliconed the other side. It worked pretty well for me.
I close the gap all the way though.
You could sand the starburst and instead of recessing it just put a dif pad.
Not sure how it would work on a BK, but I might try that since I have one laying around. I did do that to one of my hybrid SFHG’s, and with the O-ring side siliconed it gives the perfect amount of response for me. I’d think that it would work on a Black Knight as well, considering it’s essentially the same response system. But in answer to the original question, it probably won’t do anything or, if it does, the vibe would lessen a tad bit.
