for me it was the exact opposite. when i first joined spyy, it was steveās intention to produce my throw down ronin as a spyy. but since i really wasnāt into throwing wide/unresponsive yo-yoās at that time, we went back to formula and designed the flying v using the dimensions of the no jive, renegade, and the old variflex x-games. he basically stopped right before going forward with the ronin and said āhang onā¦ is this even what you WANT right now?ā
iām sure some companies create a yo-yo and then assign it to a person, but in my case it was the reverse. and having a signature yo-yo that really is designed for how you like to play is pretty much the coolest.

VsNYYC hasnt made any signature yoyos yet, but should one ever see the light of day, it would be more than 50% thrower and the rest a collaboration of ideas from the team, me, and others.
in the end i feel if your signature yoyo isnt something that you throw because it is exactly what you want at that time, then how is it your signature?
