(shameless plug) 3D printed counterweights I made originally for a friend, made some NY yoyo club ones for fun (not for sale) that turned out really nice

I’d wanted a soft counterweight for practicing my 5A, and came across this little guy at the dollar general, the weight matches my die perfectly, and after some practicing went well I call this a win! And his eyes pop out when ya squeeze him, cool beans!!

I thought I had posted in this thread, but I must not have yet!

Gummy counterweights I make out of recycled plastisol. They’re soft and super knuckle-friendly!

That’s so cute, I love that! Aside from functionality I think the white stran gives some contrast and interest.

I have this crochet pouch, I want the next one to have a little button, maybe a bow.

I thought @Tobiyo89 might dig this setup! :star2:

Another work in progress I just started today, because the mini jewelers vise I bought arrived, it’s gonna be my portable yoyo mod/maint workbench. That’s a solid slab of oak I’d had put up from something I’d built for someone before awhile back. Going to put a neutral stain and a lot of polyurethane on it as well, and obviously will show an updated photo when it’s all done . I’m addicted to making things :joy:

I made this counterweight prior to the new Danny FH1 but it totally resembles that colorway and pattern. So I guess I consider it a perfect companion to it.

Edit: If anyone wants one let me know. I have some more of this material I can make a couple more if you want a match for your Danny FH1

I’ve got a couple of 3d printed stands, wood stands, bearing cleaning tool (3v dc motor with a 3d printed bearing holder), etc

But my first yoyo display wall and suspension travel case are still my best work

Aside from the usual paracord stuff, I recently threw together a small stand from leftover acrylic.

Welding/fabricating is what I do full time. I’ve been working on a couple different metal yoyo display stands just for fun. Here’s one I thought I’d share

So those that know my holster designs know that I like to use NiteIze carabiners. I really liked to use the #2 Al locking S-biners but over the last year, I’ve had trouble finding more (I still have 3 orange ones left). In response I tried the newer stainless steel S-biners but was disappointed in their quality - they appear to be manufactured by metal stamping, have sharp edges, the wire-gate ends stick out of the sockets and the wire gates themselves are thin and flimsy (right in photo).

So I was a little discouraged about making future holsters. Then this week I discovered their new G-series line and I’m really excited about them (left in photo). The fit and finish is much better than the stainless s-biners, these appear to be machined and are a lot sturdier with better wire gates that are flushly retained. Much more on par with the Al s-biners. And the #1 size is pretty awesome too, it makes a clean low profile set up. I will have #1 and #2 G-series biners available for future orders.

I really like those G clips! That’s a dope overall setup.

The D&D dice are a great nerdy-touch.

those g clips look nice. lots of internal space too which seems like you’d be able to clip it to something thicker if need be

I got it finished several days ago but it’s been a really rough week health wise and had neglected to post a fresh picture, I’m really happy with how it turned out and may be adding some additions to it moving forward. The jewelers vice works great as well!

Love it! The idea of converting a guitar case into a yoyo case has been on my mind a lot recently as well! Awesome job dude!

A little foam from the hobby section and any kind of case is all you need…maybe some super glue if you want. I’m glad I didn’t super glue the foam in, though, because I’ve got a slightly better method for cutting the holes now and I think I can fit more yoyos in there with a new piece of foam.

Here’s the first case I made a few years back from a cheap case from Goodwill. I now use it for my responsives/tradeables/giveawayables.
