Yes sir. Panhandle of Florida.
All glory to the hypno-toad!

Beautiful in a haunted sort of way
today was climbing day at the park and i hopefully hooked a new yoyo homie! guy was building a giant sand sculpture for the park’s holiday festival. he said he liked my yoyo shirt and said he had a butterfly in the car. that started a convo and we rapped about where modern yoyo had gone and i showed him a couple vids and he asked for the forum info and my social info so we’ll see ![]()

that’s my “neck of the woods” as well. my daughter plays hockey in Simsbury. We’re not far from there.

slow days at the shop can be enjoyable every now and again. Practicing Rancid Milk, as usual. I know I should probably but move on to something else but I feel so close and have been dedicated to it for what feels like months at this point, feels wrong to “give up” even if temporary.
Edit: I got it down!
Throwing can absolutely simply be about having fun. When I first started I was chasing all sorts of tricks, likely to make up for lost time (I NEVER GOT TO SPLIT THE ATOM BACK IN DOUBLE OUGHTS BECAUSE THE PICTURE DIAGRAMS IN ALL THE YOYO TRICK BOOKS SUCKED, okay?!). But lately, perhaps it’s lost motivation or the increase demand at work, I’ve found myself just throwing loops and any tricks that require to maintain my ability to throw loops (specifically maintaining string tension via UFOs or Sidewinders), all while walking my dogs around the neighborhood. Occasionally, spontaneously, I’ll throw a gravity pull and try a different trick, which can be pretty difficult since my EDC is, and has been for quite some time now, the Plasm. And best of all, my “focus” (for lack of a better word) is do as much as can be done, one handed
Quite frankly, I may not be doing much, but by golly am I going to learn how to throw loops perfectly!
Related sidenote: When I first started, at a different point than the one I mentioned earlier, I decided I was going to learn, to perfection, trapeze and trapeze and his brother. Why? Because I felt so cool throwing sideways (Also, I was quickly learning that those tricks were the basis for pretty much every sideways trick)
yo looping is HARD! im a few weeks into learning 2a and i think it’s one of those things that’s deceptively hard. it’s like simultaneously easier and harder than 1a for me. easier because it requires less step by step deep thought of trying to analyze what’s happening, but harder because making it do what i know it needs to do can be infuriatingly difficult. and sometimes my left hand just seems to forget how to be a hand and everything goes to crap lol i do appreciate the aspect of being able to just zone out and throw loops for 5 min if thats all i have, though
Why I love having my deepest state or plasm on me on the reg, just sweet to pull out and fire off a couple loops instead of my browsing my phone, when the opportunity allows. So satisfying
Yall don’t have a spot heater to speed up the process?
2a is hard that’s for sure
@Captrogers we do, just not in a rush today ![]()
Dude, if you love a trick, keep doing it! If you can’t, that means I have to stop doing kamikaze.
That surprise regen at :34 gave me a heart attack.
