I’m going to work on a design I’ve been thinking of over the weekend. I am most excited about this one.
What excites me the most is that it is an epoxied (non- take apart) design that will also assist in easy knot removal. (@eternalmetal this may get your attention)
It also takes on some of the ideas behind my Six Shooter design.
Ooohhh, I’m excited about this. It should be interesting, practical and not too crazy.
Out of all the yo-yos you make, I think the blood cell is my favorite in look. There’s just something about it that’s beautiful and amazing. I like organic shapes to, so that may have something to do with it.
Yeah, I love my new Bloodcell too. Incredibly comfortable in the hand and virtually vibe-free. Amazing piece of work! The response seems less snappy than my other Spinworthies, though; is that part of its design?
Glen makes some of the best fixies on the market with a lathe! There are also some other woodworkers that make killer fixies with their woodworking knowledge.
Yours was a little less responsive than usual. I was a bit torn after I made and tested yours. On one hand it was so smooth and precisely turned and on the other, a little less responsive. In the end I decided to send you that one because I figure the smoothness would have been appreciated. With a bit more play it should become snappier.
If it’s just not working for you, I’d be happy make and send you another.
You can make a basic yoyo without a lot of expensive tools, but to make really good ones you will need some machinery.
The machines I use are a bandsaw, lathe, drill press and bench grinder. I use an arbor press too, ad well as loads of other smaller tools an accessories.
Makes sense to me. I don’t always mange my strings torsion well and it’s then that I get string jams in the response holes. Should be easy to unjam on the Button.
