Seriously though. This may be the single best fixed axle yoyo I’ve ever made in my opinion.
What was the production time on it? Not including design and tweaking, but if you were to make another one now it’s fleshed out.
Around about 1 hour. This is mostly due to the fact that I don’t have to make the axle.
how do you make the both sides identical if you hand turn them?
Careful measuring of the half blanks, a keen eye and a steady hand.
You make some clean looking toys boss. Can’t wait to try my skinflint
Thanks, mate!
The Skinflint is pretty cool. A real workhorse.
I think I would want a Ballsy done this way.
Ive been thinking that I’d like to make you a white oak Ballsy this way with the new axle/response as replacement for your dud Survivalist.
A lot of people have asked me to make a video of me turning a yoyo. I would really like to do this, but haven’t had the equipment I need.
My birthday is this month, so I’m hoping to get my hands in a GoPro to be able to finally film it (as long as I actually get one for my present).
I hope to make a video soon!
Does anyone who might be interested in this want a voiceover explanation of the process as I make it, or is simply the video enough?
I think I would be just fine with just a video! Personally I love the sound of the chisels cutting the wood!
Why gopro, why not “any old smartphone with a stand”?
Nowhere replace the phone. With a GoPro or similar I can mount it on my head.
Lol why the mustache?
I’ll get one of those! Looks like a good solution!
I also really like the moustache. Made me chuckle.
Might need to reload that pic. The same thing happened to me earlier today in a PM.
