Got this in a trade. Love the engraving. No clue what it’s an engraving of, but I dig it.

I see a bird with a hat on it riding a Doobie?

Well weird that I know what a bit of the logo probably is cause I’m a civilian who simply works adjacent to these kind of folks but SSN778 is most likely a naval ship designation specifically a submarine called the USS New Hampshire and FCPOA would probably be first class petty officer association. Which is a naval group.

Hope that helps identify but I’m assuming it’s a custom engraving that takes characteristics from various naval coins. I don’t recognize it but I also am not in that life so I wouldn’t really. I just recognize the acronyms.

That solves it enough for me, I appreciate you brother

Yep, that’s exactly right. My guess is it’s based on a naval challenge coin design. The insignia for PO1 (Petty Officer First Class) is an eagle perched above 3 chevrons, which I can kinda see a rendition of in the engraving. I like the little fish at the bottom in the wake.

So good! I always wondered how you did the deconstructed views in your photos. Fishing line?

You don’t want to light that one up, it’s a torpedo. Looks like a logo from the First Class Petty Officer Association, and the SSN 776,
USS Hawaii, but the number is so stylized it’s hard to read for sure.
Very cool yo-yo for sure.
Sorry, I did not read the reply from @captrogers .

This is a really cool photo

Yeah that one came out nice. The lighting etc was just perfect and the ground under it really highlights the simplicity of the yoyo with its complex structures.

I think i didn’t even tweak the settings on it. But don’t quote me on that.
