Is RTV silicone recommended for Yoyojam Legacy?
And is there other better silicones out there?

Any flowable silicone is fine for your legacy
And gasket maker which is not flowable is also fine.
I prefer the gasket maker. Last longer and doesn’t grip like King Kong.
GAsket masker at your local auto shop make sure RTV
Don’t you have to make a recess to make it fit?
you dont need to recess it there is already a pretty deep pad recess
