I can’t land my responsive yoyo on my string without it trying to return resulting in tangles. What can I do to stop this?

Hello there! The best advice I can offer is watch some videos of folks using fixed axle yoyos. Then practice. Lots of practice.

The main thing is to keep the string from going slack at all in the yoyo. I find that when I’m doing a lot of unresponsive play I’ll get a bit lax with keeping tension on the string (note: not the same thing as string tension/twist) when I’m landing a mount, and unresponsive throws don’t care. The responsive yoyo will grab the little bit of slack and grab it.
Keeping the string taught when in an undermount is obviously extra important - even an unresponsive yoyo will grab the string in that case.

What yoyo would you recommend for getting into string tricks? I’m using a magic v3. I’m looking at the spintastic space monkey.
