Removing C clips

I’m trying to remove my yoyo bearing’s c-clips with a sewing needle, but i’m having trouble taking out the c-clip anyone have some tips?

Make sure that your needle is on the right side of the c clip, since one side of it is pointed in the wrong direction. Also try to keep the needle as parallel to the bearing as you can

Sometimes this happens to me. If I can get the “tip” to come out of the clip, I can generally “hold” it up with the needle and try to slip it under and then get it off.

Just be careful to doesn’t fly at your face haha

I’ve had really great success with leather needles. They’re much stronger than regular ones and pop the clips out easily.

notice how here, on the picture, the edges of the end of the c clip are different. for one the corner is pointing up and the edge is pointing down. for the other one the edge is pointing up and the corner is pointing down. I realized that I have more success on one side than on the other, so I just gotta try both ways

Edit: i copied this picture from @CatFoodScience on his topic to desheild a bearing. I don’t wanna get flagged for plagarism or anything( yeah i don’t know if a picture counts, but), so I decided to give credit
