C-Clip Removal

Hi guys, just one question…
What is the easiest way to remove the c-clip from the bearing?

My fingers were red and sweaty when I used my sewing needle to remove the c-clip and it was so hard, so I need to know what’s the easiest way to remove the c-clip.

I use a long thick sewing needle that I found around my house. I’d guess it’s about 2 or 3 times as thick, and about twice the length of a normal sewing needle. Not really sure what it’s actual use is, but it works great for c ring removal.
or a push pin might also work. I think any needle-like thing should work.

Push pins! That would be helpful for my fingers! Thank you sir.

Also were you going at the correct side of the C clip. There’s a side that sits flush with the wall of the bearing, and then there is a side that has a little space where you pop a needle in.

I use a regular push pin. As Buddy Jim says, it helps if you work on the right end, though it is sometimes hardw to discern.

with another bent straight c-clip

True it is hard to discern. I generally try about 3 times on the left before I try the right.

Sometimes a thin paperclip works, but I use a needle.

Hmmm left side of the needle? I’ll try that next time, thanks guys!

I find that some just about fall out and others are near impossible.
