Quitting

In the topic of scents… My girlfriends car still reeks and some of the trucks I have to take to Virginia for service are pretty foul with the stink. It is unpleasant, to say the least.

Congratulations on going an entire month, man! Really, I’m proud of you for kicking the habit. high five

Awesome job, Waylon!!

yeah that’s what I thought when I first saw this and then I clicked on it to say something like “NOOOOOOO! WHY!” but then I saw what it actually said. and

I am totally claiming to be the original creator of this just like the 50 others I have actually created(not on here)

I think it’s just you.

yay! you officially quit smoking! internet handshake good for you!

Nah, sadly it’s me too.

I thought about that after I made the thread. Quitting yoyoing would be a lot harder.

Thanks again, everyone, for your kind words and support. High fives all around

Well if you are tempted to smoke just dont inhale. Just puff?

Negative. If I’m tempted, I just won’t smoke. Period. I think 25 years of smoking is plenty. It’s time to move past it.

Good choice!

I haven’t smoked for a year, and I still want a cigarette.

The addiction never goes away. Take my advice and never pick that cigarette up. The moment you do, you will be hooked.

The thought of smoking right now disgusts me. I’m all about healthy habits now. I’m kicking myself for eating Arby’s last night.

Okay, now you’re moving beyond kicking the habit and right into meddling.
I had a Maid-Rite and onion rings last night. Yes, I had to get up after midnight and take a couple of Tums because I had a tummy ache. But I’m don’t smoke cigarettes so I have a healthy lifestyle right?

Way to go Waylon, start out my day with a guilt trip. Thanks a lot.

In order to keep this thread focused on me getting a free Trigger, I mean quitting smoking :p, I didn’t mention other health goals. Losing weight has been a big one. I lost 65 pounds two years ago. I put forty back on while working the road. I lost 35 of that earlier this year then had to take a steroid for asthma that gave me the craziest appetite. I was insatiable. I went from counting out 1700 calories a day to eating untold quantities of food. Turns out it’s a drug that us also used to help certain cancer patients increase their appetite. I’m guessing its pretty effective. I gained 15 pounds in three weeks. Long story short, joined a gym, back to counting calories and avoiding junk/fast food, waiting a while to step on a scale.

Last night I was hungry and there was Arby’s with her cheesy, beefy siren song. Twenty minutes later I felt sapped and lethargic and generally like poo. I don’t know how I lived on that stuff for so long.

If you feel guilt, it may be your stomach trying to tell you something

What’s a maid rite?

Thanks stookie!
