A dinged yoyo is not devastated. Happens all the time and they continue to play just fine.
If one finds it devastating, then I would class that as a first world problem.
Definitely. I was with a pro once who dinged his yoyo into this gnarly cement, imbedding some concrete into the yoyo. He took a file or knife, can’t remember, and cut it out and kept on playing.
