Plastic Peak CLYWxLuftverk

Can we all agree the blue plastic peak is the best plastic peak and move on?

I would never trade my white for your blue, for no reason at all! :joy::joy::joy:

He was explaining that POM needs additional dye added to the material after the production of the material to achieve colors other than white/black. But polycarbonate has the dye included as a homogenous mixture during the production of the material.

So polycarbonate contains dye (noun), but is not dyed (verb). Colored POM contains dye (noun), because it is dyed (verb).

How white and black POM will be a base weight, and then the dye will add additional molecules on top of that base, polycarbonate should be more consistent since the color happens during the initial production as a homogenous material.

English is a hard language. I’m not a plastics expert, but that’s the gist I got from it.

Yes, I got that.
But nobody said anything about POM, so why bring it up?

Also, nobody said they were dyed. Just brought up the word dye.

but you keep sleeping peacefully…

Ok, so, you’re saying there’s no dye in the yoyo now?

Look, I’m sure you’re the smartest kid at university, but it’s getting increasingly unclear what you’re trying to say here.

You waffle between saying there’s dye in the polycarbonate and then bringing up quotes about dye like you’re trying to say they don’t have dye.

Could you please just come down on one side or another?

I don’t speak English and I can only do it through a translator and that’s a fact but you seem to be the only one who doesn’t seem to understand what I’m saying… that’s a fact too, and in your place I would ask myself a couple of questions … a greeting.

Whatever, dude. Either it has dye in it or not, decide which one you want it to be and live your best life.

Ok, everyone should chill.

Let’s move along and everyone put away their scales, math, and mass calculations of gravity on different parts of the earth. It’s a yoyo. Nobody cared this much about the Nationals freehand one weight and that was whole grams off.

There’s no I’ll intent here by anyone.

however, @jeffreypang911 will have to be asked about this substantial weight difference

p.s. 3 grams is a lot and who says they are evenly distributed?

3 grams? The picture with the 69 gram caramel throw was a joke!

I was joking I put a cw in the cup to add a few grams specifically to hit 69. I then took a clear picture to show they are all the same at 66g. Sorry for the confusion

The counterweight in question was a cute little doc pop pawn.

So mine weigh the same.
Perplexed by the difference of feel in play.

That is odd!

I would be tempted to swap the bearings to see if that is the difference.

You may be onto something.
I’ll hold off until I need to unscrew for maintenance.
Initially posted because I was not expecting a noticeable difference in play. Caught me by surprise.
Loving these yoyos.

Here is Luftverk 's answer on my question about the string that comes with the peak (DM on Instagram).

“The string is own blend of thick, but I don’t really sell it publicly yet just a custom thick blend that I prefer - might release it later this year but undecided.”

Thank you for the insight!

Its probably in the bearings. Some bearings that have some drag can make a throw feel sluggish and heavy. My Pleak bearing was rather loud and crunchy out of the box.
