Plastic Peak CLYWxLuftverk

I don’t normally do half swaps, but I couldn’t resist. It lives up to its name, a great yoyo. Here’s mine with a few of my other peaks.

The Plastic Peak colors remind me so much of Finn and Jake. Trying my best to be a responsible adult and resist getting all three. | (• ◡•)| (❍ᴥ❍ʋ)

Love that winter green peak!

Is that one of the Levi Painted ones? So sweet.

2 outta 3 of my plastic peaks landed…i must say this was a treat to play today. Super floaty but somehow oddly stable for a Peak. Dead smooth as well of course. Easily one of my favorite plastic throws ever made. Heres a shot with my OG Levi peak and a few peak 2s :+1:

@jeffreypang911 you did an absolutely phenomenal job with this project man, like 10 outta 10 good.
(would totally collect all of these if you did other colors/limited editions lol)

I feel the same or even just a mono plastic that is midsize / “undersized”. I know @jeffreypang911 has mentioned before that he doesn’t have much interest in producing a small plastic, but it sure would be cool to see what he could come up with. 53 - 54mm or even 55mm is a great size.

@Deadboots - It seems like it comes from folks that haven’t experienced many vintage plastics or been YoYoing for that long. I don’t know. (not saying that’s anyone in this thread) I’ve seen this misconception all over the web recently from all kinds of folks and it’s a head scratcher. Some really banger plastics hover in the 53-55mm range. The Lyn Fury was 54mm and people loved the snot out of those.

Will work on an undersized! Would likely be a hybrid - like 54mm? But what kind of shape hmm.

I’m with you man I’d be really interested in a smaller plastic also. The large diameters are not as fun for me.

Interested.
How about a bit shunk version of TiPeak, molded in plastic, with weight rings pressed into hub area. I mean, to make them covered by plastic, and not exposed like on Hybrid Fulvias.

Hitman would be perfect

Yeah, would love to see yoyojam or old CLYW remade to scale using metal to help balance the weight.

Hitman was my immediate thought too when I heard undersized plastic with rims. Let’s see what @jeffreypang911 can do with a sweet clear-capped undersized rimmed homage to that classic

Oh man that’s awesome! Thank you for looking into it and considering it!

I don’t know why but the slimline se Daytona seems like it would be a really cool shape to have in a plastic. Matte white with brass inset rings :open_mouth: or the 000 teal (or a seafoam green) with brass inset rings, oooh! Pantone 5425 c :star_struck: hahahaha!!!

Not sure how the SE would hold up though due to the geometry of the hole. It’d probably flex too much and would probably cause cracks if it’s too thin. I just like the shape of that particular Daytona though. That is, if it were to be inspired by a pre-existing Luftverk design.

Something angular like the original OD Halifax (dietz) proto ( Lab experiment #1) would be super cool. Blow it up to a good playable size (since it’s only 50mm) it’d be pretty neat. OR a re-envision of the OD Rally that doesn’t crack! Haha. Ok I’ll shut up now LOL!

@jeffreypang911 what’s the white string that shipped with plastic peaks?
