I feel like at this point, the amount of enthusiasm and responses they receive will be directly influenced by whether they’re pro-waffle, or pro-pancake.

I tend to prefer savory to sweet and I feel like pancakes adapt better to my tastes

That’s why waffles have savor cups.

Self-serve “Belgian” waffles at hotel breakfast bars after long nights. Are they really Belgian? Couldn’t tell you. Why are the semi greasy? No clue. 100% delicious

I believe you are mistaken, the very best maple syrup in the world comes from Québec, Canada. The colder climate there makes for a very crisp clean maple flavour. It is so sought after that this happened, no lie: Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist - Wikipedia
