I have a Hairband Sakura SE and love the way the color way looks while spinning! So cool. I bought an all black already. Otherwise I would be all over this.

Thunderstorm Edition T1 heading to YoYoExpert!

Man, you guys have been stepping up your game a lot in the past month or so. Ya’ll have made like tons of restocks in your yoyos! I should totally think about getting one of those Broken Heart benchmarks!

Thanks  We are stoked that players are still interested in our older models.

I love the Hairband colorway! My Sakura SE Hairband is one of my favorite colorways!! I think you should be making more throws in Hairband!!

I am low on funds, maybe I will be able to trade for one when they hit the BST. I didnt really look at the T1 twice untill I saw those splash colors, pretty sweet!

see, this is what I love about you guys there at OD, you really like to take care of all your customers and really do a good job at giving all of us a chance to get the awesome throws you guys make, (unlike some of these other companies). I really appreciate that and I’m sure there are a lot more of us that appreciate this as well! thank you Onedrop!

We don’t only like taking care of you guys, we LOVE it! Thank you for all the support Jon! If you ever find yourself outside of New Mexico and in the Pacific Northwest, swing on by!

thanks for the invite. man, I would love to go visit…maybe one of these days. but please keep up the awesome work! I know ill be a loyal customer (of course as long as the funds are available lol) since you guys have been real loyal to your customers, which is what its all about, especially in the yoyo world. thanks guys!

So how’s the Code 1? Play wise?

One of the floatiest suckers you’re ever going to play.

Really? I havent played a Code 1 but I was thinking because of the rounded out shape that the Code 2 was even floatier than the Code 1?? Am I wrong on that?

Very much so. Round shape doesn’t make something floaty. It’s primarily about overall weight to size ratio, which is then informed in significant ways by the actual distribution of that weight.

The Code 1 is significantly lighter than the Code 2 while having the same diameter. The more rim-weighted a yoyo is, the less “floaty” it often feels… these yoyos are both rim-weighted, but the Code 1 is narrower, meaning this weight is still closer to the gap… this should also contribute to being floatier.

The lower weight plus the overall width putting the available weight closer to the hub = Code 1 being significantly floatier… and I mean by a large perceptible margin… than the Code 2.

You don’t get the Code 2 for “float”, though. It’s an absolutely amazing yoyo with great stability, amazing feel in hand, powerful spins, etc. “Float” isn’t everything. I’m simply saying that the Code 1 is where it’s at for float in the OD lineup (at least out of the OD yoyos I’ve played).

I found my code 2 plays faster than my code 1 but it lacks the special feel so I don’t use it as much.

I find the Code 2 comes to the end of a string faster. In fact, with strings that are too thin (more winding up in the actual response area) I get a bit of kickback on the Code 1. This speed to the end of the string probably informs how you approach the yoyo.

Once the yoyo is in play, physics dictate that the Code 1 is actually going to be faster. But because of that initial throw and because of the way you visualize the nature of each yoyo, you are probably playing the Code 2 faster.

any updates on that new MarkMont?

Going fast with the code 1 feels wrong, it can do it, but I lose too much spin from mistakes and it feels nicer doing lacerations and whips.
