Offsetyoyos outlier plus vs unpryld seji

Om wondering whether or not I should get the seji or outlier plus, not quite sure which Ons is better for competition

Personally, I definitely prefer the seiji. The seiji has a really good power, nimble balance making it good for all around competition. I’ve never been a big fan of the outlier +, sure it’s wide, but it also has kind of a wierd weight distribution. I’m not really sure what it is but it’s just not for me. I don’t currently own one but I’ve played with multiples from different people at club and I’ve never played with a smooth one, even ones with no or few dings. That may just be my experience but they have all vibed pretty bad.
In conclusion it really just comes down to preference. I personally love the seiji (it’s one of my all time favorites) and find the outlier kinda meh.
Do with that what you want lol😂

About the Outlier vibing, when I first got it it was dead smooth.

I didn’t try the Outelier but I can’t speak well enough about the Seiji, in my opinion such an underrated yoyo, it is just perfect, for competition and non, slacks, rejects, horizontal, whatever you want you can do, feels very comfy and nice in the hand, spin time is great and is very balanced, a very trick machine, honestly you will not be disappointed with that yoyo!

I’m sure it’s smooth out of the box, I trust and respect Brandon and his quality control. But with it being a wide bimetal with that much rim weight it can easily be throw out of wack.
Not a huge deal just something to be aware of. That tends to happen with wide bimetals, some more than others and the outlier is in the more category that’s all.

Yeah the seiji also has a super fun nimble fear to it. Way more when the outlier while being just as good with performance.

Thanks, I want Seji, but the outlier plus uisvery tempting as they both look like extremly powerful, but Im thinking maybe the outlier plus is more powerful as it has a little bit more and thicker rims than the seji, but my main reason is due to that massive width, that can help a lot for zontals as well as arm tricks

Outlier is very good at horizontal tricks and is very stable. Can’t speak for the Seiji as I do not have one.

I want the one that is generally the one that is more powerful, stable and long spinning

I can’t help you here as I don’t have a Seiji. Anyone else have both?

I’ve only played the seiji and I do agree with everything that has been said about it here.

In terms of power, stability, and spin time they will both have all of that in spades. Both are proven competition yo-yos as Junsang Park used the seiji to a 7th place finish at worlds 2023 and Brandon Vu using the outlier + at his most recent win at nats.

I think it comes down to personal preference, feel, and the shape of each yoyo. Those extra 4 mm on the outlier will make horizontal and zoning easier but could get in the way of tech. With that said, if your technique is good the seiji is more than capable of handling anything you throw at it.

What is really putting me off about the outlier plus is the quility, as yiy said those big beefy rims can be a problem in terms of tis durbality, I own an outlier 3 and when I dinged it for the first time that rings were a bit out if place, pefromace is AWSOME for outlier 3 but durbality is poor, and I don’t want that to be the same case with outlier plus.

The one major thing though that is putting me a little bit off with the seji is the fact that it is indeed a bit of an older yoyo than the outlier plus and swing that yoyo friends already made a new peregrine the peregrine x, I don’t want them to make a new and improved better version of the seji, but with Brandon’s yoyo he just released at the end of Last year so I know that he won’t retire the yoyo any time soon

The outlier plus is great and definitely recommend it

And the rims are tightly pressed in so they won’t be flying out like the outlier 1 and 3
