Thanks, Jason. Out of the 2 options I had in front of me – to cancel the contest or follow through with it – neither of them was an ideal choice. The only reason I chose one over the other is because canceling this year will leave the door open for a contest in the future.

Kind of a bummer. But as others said, let’s hope that everything will work out for next year. 
If you can get me there, I’ll advice on what gear to rent, and I’ll bring my front-end and run sound for free. I’ll work with the rental house of your choice and see what I can do. Get me from the airport, dump me back when it’s all over!
