I started Yo-yoing about a week and I am currently throwing a Duncan butterfly xt but it is limiting me and I was wondering if you have any suggestions on a new yoyo
Lol how far down the rabbit hole do you want to go! In what ways is your butterfly limiting you?

My friend is a pretty good and he got me into it. But the string on the butterfly is always getting tangled up and now I am getting into longer tricks and the yoyo is stopping mid trick.

@Parker learn how to release the torsion of the string (how much it’s twisted) UFO and sidewinder are good tricks for that. And although butterfly xt isn’t the fanciest throw, it’s very capable😁

The usual suspects for first recommendations are the first base (my personal favorite), the sage or onestar (onestar is unresponive), the replay (pro version is unresponive), c3 speedaholic, and the whip. Those are my favorites for responsive beginner plastics.
