Hi everyone, Jonajune here!
I am looking for a good string trick yoyo. I know nearly all the intermediate tricks and im moving onto advanced 1. Im looking at Protostar, Dark Magic, or Dv888. I don’t really have prefrences, except for the fact that I would prefer an unresponsive yoyo.

EDIT: I have a yomega maverick, and that’s it.
They are all great yoyos. If you want a metal get a DV888. If you want a hybrid metal/plastic, get the Dark Magic. If you want a Plastic, get a Protostar. I personally would go for either the Protostar or Dark Magic but thats just because those really interest me.
Based on what you said… my opinion is, you should go with a DV888. They are amazingly smoothe! Also they have a really good thumb grinding surface. One of the things that I like about this yoyo, is its really stable, even after all the times it hit my carpet. This yoyo also has a really big gap which will help you land more string tricks easier…
