MYY V8 axle question

Question for y’all!

Im trying to run my MYY V8 as unresponsive.

Mine came responsive with a half spec bearing and I THINK a 12 mm axle. I dont know if i should be using a longer axle for unresponsive with a C bearing though.

Anyone know if I should be looking for a larger size? If so, what size?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I just swapped in an unresponsive bearing and accepted the fact that it will be slightly less resistant to damage or stripping, since I don’t have spare axles longer than 12mm.

One could always go to a hardware store and get a slightly longer set screw of the proper size.

One could do that if one wasn’t lazy

But… what size? Lol

M4 14mm?

Take the yoyo to the store and see what fits. Easy peezy…

I took some measurements:

  • The axle of my MYY V8 is 11.8 mm long.
  • The responsive bearing of my MYY V8 is 3.1 mm wide.
  • The unresponsive bearing of my MYY V10 and a pixel bearing are both 4.7 mm wide.

A 13.4 mm axle would be ideal in my situation. A 14 mm axle might work or it might be a little too long, resulting in gaps between the bearing and yo-yo.

I’m still comfortable with my decision to use the existing 12 mm axle. I’ve decided I won’t bang the yo-yo on concrete.

Yoooo! This answer is LEGIT!

Thanks!

Im using the 12 mm right now and wont bang the yoyo either lol.

I might check for the longer axle at the hardware store randomly if im nearby but not gonna worry about it too much.

This yoyo is pretty sweet unresponsive! I have the V10 too lol. Great budget buys.
