I put a responsive bearing in my magic but there is a slight gap between the bearing and the inside of the yoyo. Do I need to get a shorter axle and is so where can I order a few?
You may need a shorter axle, but you may also need to shave down the bearing posts so that the gap can close all the way. Which yoyo is it, and can you measure the axle already in it?
The quickest way to get the right axle length is to take your entire yoyo to a hardware store and look for their M4x0.7 set screws/grub screws. Common lengths for yoyos are 10mm and 8mm so start by trying one of those.
You can also buy extra axles here:
As always your advice is much appreciated and a I ordered 3 8mm and 3 10mm axles because it never hurts to have spares.
You can also usually get them at the hardware store. Sometimes better it’s you can check them out in person.
I ordered the axles from here.
