I bought this older duncan yo yo off of eBay. It’s a Made in the USA model. I was reading the back of the package and it said, replace wooden axle Every three months I was just wondering where would I be able to find parts to replace on this?
I’ve had a current generation Proyo since March last year. It was my EDC for a few months and has had it’s fair share of play. The wooden axle still seems absolutely fine, it sleeps and responds nicely. I can’t compare to a much older model but I would take that 3 month period with a large grain of salt. Unless the quality is drastically different or you’re throwing some real hard sleepers, enough to ‘scorch’ the axle you’re probably good to go for a pretty long time on the one it came with. Realistically you’re going to struggle finding new axles for a proyo now, although I’m sure I’ve seen 3d printed axles around. Let me know if you ever do find some wooden ones though!
it’s just a cut dowel if I’m not mistaken. any of the makers around here can prob tell you the appropriate size though as I’m not sure of that

Proyo axles are actually a really unique shape instead of a straight dowel. This shape would honestly be difficult to 3d print cleanly, but brand new pro-yos are on Amazon for like $5 so I would probably just buy one and steal the axle from it.
