So there i was, yoyoing in my basement with a CW on my DM. and, I release it hoping it’ll do a 300* spin and I’ll catch it. seems beautiful right?? well… there is a low spot on my ceiling for the air ducts and my DM just nicked it barely… and it caused it to fall… but not towards my hand… towards the concrete floor… the sides of the yoyo, flew apart like mini frisbee shaped rockets in opposite directions…and I found my axle to be separated in two pieces still in the yoyo…
This sucks I do not have another…I’m getting a Grind Machine for xmas though…
Use pliers to remove the old one. Then go and buy a new one at your local hardware store. It uses a 6x32 setscrew that is 3/4" long. 1/2" long will work.
yup, mines stuck in my yoyo… the axle snapped in half and is broke flush on each half… so im gonna need something like a really really small tap for a drill
If you meant to explain what mrcnja had explained previously, it didn’t work. Flush means that no portion of the object is sitting above an other piece, in other words, pliers won’t work
If the axle is broken off flush on both sides the only feasible way to fix them would be to chuck the yo-yo into a lathe and drill out the center of the axle.
