well, here it is, I got my cosmo today, so I started to throw it, noticed it was responsive with a fairly short spin time, so I changed the string to see what happens
then it became very noisy, still running fine, responsive but fine, and noisy
so I went home and played abit with a concave bearing I have in a virus, went smooth at first, now it’s noisy again
and the cosmo bearing, that’s still in the virus, is still noisy as well.
The Cosmo’s design makes bearing pretty loud. I’ve tried two, one of which had a 10-Ball in it, and they were pretty loud. As long as it plays good, don’t worry.
I had a virus on with concave bearing and spacer (got it used)
the cosmo as it was out of the box was tug responsive and noisy (not at first, then it got noisy)
I’m practicing advanced 1&2 string tricks so I want a reasonable spin time so I can go through the steps easily
the virus was waaaay too non responsive to my taste so this is what I did
I switched both bearings and got the spacers out of the virus and into the cosmo
it turned out the cosmo was making the bearings loud, the standard cosmo bearing is now VERY loud in the virus, but spins fine
the 3yo3 is now unresponsive and more suited to string tricks practice, it’s an amazing throw in movement, it catches every single ray of light and turn it into something beautiful, the sensation is very far from plastic (what I was afraid of) and I must say close to my metal throws (but not quite similar).
I also prefer the virus now, it’s still non responsive and pretty hard to bind as is, it’s not, by far, my favorite throw and I got it more for the yoyo itself, but all in all, it’s too big of a yoyo for me, maybe I’ll get it back when I’ll practice 5A
but I was surprised it came tug responsive out of the box
