Blast came out extremely clean on this one. Has very nice lines to it.
Ya learn something new every day I was always under the impression blasts added something.
Edit: and maybe I should clarify. I knew that blasting removed the anodization, but I thought small particles adhered to the aluminum. Like on Josh’s Galaxy Blasts - there’s GOTTA be something that’s sticking to the yoyo.
Blasts can in fact embed little pieces of media into the aluminum. The amount is minimal, unintentional and usually undesirable. I’ve encountered this in the past when it interferes with the anodizing process.
Overall though, blasting is primarily a removal process that is essentially the same thing as satining, it just imparts a slightly different texture to the aluminum.

So right. Cleaning is key to any type of media that will be added later. Scrubbing and copious amounts of water followed by a thorough degrease is key.
How many times I have felt its clean only to wipe it with a white rag and see the remnants of a blast.

Can’t say I’m super familiar with it. From what I understand ILYY was using it at times, please correct me if I’m wrong. If so and my noctu is candyblasted then it’s very nice.
