Whatever do you mean?
It is subjective and I admit Iām giving you my opinion. I didnāt say I had the definitive answer.
Wishful thinking but like @LeftyThrower24 I wish TaW and post a trick was this jumpin.
Thank you for the clarification! Would you mind explaining what you mean by axial rim weight? Iām not sure i understand the term.
Same here bro that bearing can rot in there for all I care, axle knot? Guess Iām buying a new yoyo
This is the best day Iāve ever had on this forum. Thank you all for the entertainment on this lovely Friday
Its a nice tool that is a clear improvement over the simple post style, but IMO it doesnāt do much to alleviate pressure on the bearing post.
keep the activity going guys this is keeping me entertained at work
thread dies
OD manufactures a wide bimetal
Say what you want about me, but I can get a conversation going
yyr one doesnāt come in multiple colours tho!
Oh it doesnātā¦itās just cool.
Along the line of the axle far from the center. Older yoyos used to have thumb grind lips and big overhangs of weight which axial rim weight. These days you donāt see that as much.
I donāt think so.
No hate btw, I donāt mean to contribute to a dogpile or anything
Right here
whats my contradiction?
all the monometal yoyos in the picture she shared feature exactly thatā¦
The one from Nova? Not what I see.
āWideā is most certainly a subjective term. Beautiful, fast, comfortable, difficult, good, and bad are all relative and subjective terms. Thatās why everyone on this thread has their own opinion of what they consider to be wide. There might be some agreement between parties, sure, but that doesnāt make it objective. The only way to discuss width in objective terms is to use the actual numbers.
To use Davidās point, the iYoyo Spire is 60mm wide. If it were a 59mm diameter 1A yoyo most would consider that wide. But since itās a 75mm 4A yoyo, I guarantee you that I donāt consider it wide when Iām trying to catch it.
surprised this has become such an iterative topic, and especially if thereās country vs. country involvedā¦. literal people on the same or similar machines make these things. whatās better is what you prefer, or like.
Being āwideā is different from being āwide considering its diameterā. Idk why goalposts are constantly being moved.
43mm is objectively narrower than 46mm. Regardless of the diameter.
If there is a 50mm x 50mm yoyo and a 100mm x 60mm yoyo, sure the 50mm x 50mm yoyo is gonna look wide considering its diameter but the 100mm x 60mm yoyo is still going to be objectively wider, and thus more fit for landing difficult hook tricks or zoning tricks that benefit from an objectively wider catch zone.
