I paid 15 dollars for shipping from a town 30 mins away from me… It took 3 weeks to get here. Meanwhile I’ve got an order from japan in 3 days.
I sent something to California last week. Ended up taking a trip through Mexico and made it to destination a week late.
It happens. Look at the number of packages these carriers handle. Maybe 20 times I’ve hit abnormal delays or even lost packages. Out of thousands… Pretty good track record if you ask me.
Came in expecting to read about the Luftverk Evora… Left with a thorough knowledge of the ups and downs of the Canadian postal system. Classic ‘General YoYo’ topic.

“OOOOHHH CAAAAANNAAAADDAAAAAAAAAA!!”
Good thread.
Cream Eggs!!!
Looks like shipping on Monday: Build Your Dream - LUFTVERK
Anybody get their shipping confirmation yet?
As it turns out, 50 boxes is more than it seems. I nagged Jeff yesterday and he was scrambling to get’r all done but alas they did not ship yesterday. Soon.
Not sure what form (if any) shipping confirmation is going to take, either. I don’t recall seeing anything about forthcoming confirmations.
Gotcha. I just assumed those who bought shipping with tracking would get some info. Guess we’ll see!
Edit, I’m just really looking forward to this one, so I’m anxious as all get out to hear any news.
I know anything is possible and fact is stranger than fiction… But I honestly can’t even imagine how anybody could spend $300 something for a yoyo and not Bounce the extra $11 for tracking???
If you buy something/anything for several hundred dollars; why would you even hesitate paying another several bucks to get a better idea where your package is as it moves in your general direction?
Not buying the tracking is like being inside of a house with no windows. You have little idea of what is happening outside… If you can’t even see outside.
Tracking allows you to at least have some kinda ‘view’ of the movement of your investment.
…Would you take your girl out for a $300 dinner and then tell the Waiter you are too cheap to pay $11 for dessert?
If I pay $300 for a Taxi ride; I may still have to sit in the back seat. But if I only had to pay another 11 bucks to reach over and keep one hand on the steering wheel; here’s my 11 bucks.
To a certain extent, man is the Master of his own destiny. In anything you do you are either part of the problem or part of the solution.
Saving the money on tracking is like buying yourself a Big Question mark. You just have to wait and wonder.
Buying the Tracking at least allows you to participate in the process.
Penniwise and Pound foolish is counterproductive.
Trust me… It is Cheap insurance of sorts to at least have some idea of where your package ‘is’. You cannot be interactive without a tracker. You literally remove yourself from the equation.
The issue is that it isn’t insurance if it does end up missing.
Tracking doesn’t ensure it will get there any more than without unfortunately. Knowing where it is and when it shows up is great and all but it really makes no difference in arriving in your mailbox.
The seller on the other hand, it surprises me that they wouldn’t put tracking on something automatically as that is the only protection they have if something does end up going missing.
I never said tracking will insure a package will get to you. Or that tracking ‘is’ insurance. Insurance is insurance. Tracking is just what it is… Tracking.
It at least allows you somewhat of a view if/when your package is heading to you. Or at least in your direction.
Without tracking you just have to wait and wonder. You wanna sit in the back of the taxi cab Blindfolded?
Tracking is a totally Cheap way to participate in ‘where your package is or may be’.
But I totally Agree with something you said… I don’t have a clue why The Seller would even risk sending out 45 expensive yoyos without ‘insuring’(not insurance) that he can keep track of where all these Tiyoyos are heading.
Tracking should be/have been built right into the purchase price of the yoyo.
No tracking buys you a Blindfold and a Big question mark; regardless of whether you are the seller or the buyer.
I totally agree, Doc. I did buy the tracking, as it’s a no-brainer to me as well. I was just curious if anybody else had gotten word on their package shipping out. I see where my wording implied that I hadn’t bought it, but I was just checking around.
Yoyodoc that was the most beautiful thing I have read on the internet…ever.
It was almost like “Ironic” from Alanis Morissette but it was actually good. Canadian Post Ironic.
To be clear:
I never said there wasn’t tracking; nor do I know what the USA customers’ options were.
I simply said that I do not know what his published process was. If he said he would send out the confirmation numbers, etc. I just don’t know what his procedure is. Not that he doesn’t have one, just that I didn’t take special note of what it might be.
As a Canadian, I have no choice but to have tracking on packages. ALL packages within Canada have tracking. No idea what the international options were.
I’m glad yoyodoc and Total Artist have taken Studio42’s place when it comes to long, arcane, and fairly useless posts lol.
And, a round of applause, because you pay so much attention, that you noticed how long they are (you’re looking), made analysis of the content (you’re reading), but you also noted your inability to comprehend what you just read in the posts. My posts are better described as “over your head.”
At least I can say I’m not making as much effort to read your crap one-liners. lol
Yea, or NathanC’s very negative posts.
Oh wait, you’re NathanC. My bad.
Please, just stop. Go play yoyo if you’re frustrated or something.
Here is a this

Nathan is just expressing how own brutally honesty, I think it’s rather funny. However, while I condone humor I don’t think he should be too negative of others.TA and yoyodoc are a great resource.
