i need new lube. i have been using WD40 lube in a spray can, but it lost air pressure so i need a new lube and soon. i have valve oil because i play trumpet and i thought maybe that might work. if not, my dad is going to home depot today and he could get some lube there, but i don’t know what to ask for. do i just say that i am looking for thin viscosity lube, or is there a way to measure the viscosity? would i need to include some lube unit of measurement? WHAT DO I ASK FOR?
You could try some YYJ lube, which is reccomended by a massive amout of the forum

Trumpet valve oil will work as lube.
Order the YYJ lube and don’t take any chances with your bearing.

i tried the valve oil on a bearing that i hardly use for some reason. i think valve oil is in between thin and thick. when i got thin lube i just used that in my AIGS and it seems less responsive, but neither would come back with a tug. just the first one would shoot back to my hand on grinds
