Longest wait for usps package

Just wondering what’s the longest anyone has waited for a usps package that was shipping inside the US? I’m coming up on about 1.5 months of waiting and feel like it’s time to give up.

Waiting on a package that was shipped USPS Priority from someone on the facebook BST right now. They shipped it on January 22nd. Still hasn’t even been scanned. Fairly certain its gone gone. Worst part is it had 6 throws in it including a white powder coat SPYY Addict. He shipped me a second package via USPS first class which also took 2 months but that one at least got scanned.

Not entirely sure how long I should wait. Gonna give it another month or so then try to get my money back from paypal I guess.

I have had really good luck from usps I get all my packages in 2-3 days . Ups and FedEx are always much longer for me.

The only orders I’ve had crazy long wait times are with recess .

I have a question.

You said the package hadn’t even been scanned, yet.

Can you elaborate on that a bit?

I was once sent a notification via -automated phone call that my Nokia rebate has been approved and has been mailed out. They provided a tracking number I lost years ago. It always said in transit. I have never received the rebate and that notification was received in 1999. So I am at 22 years almost

I got a string order that was scheduled to arrive January 19. From inside the US, looking at 2 months.

Just FYI… for USPS issues, rather than just waiting around hoping your package shows up, you can be a little bit proactive and start a help request or more realistically at this point a missing mail search given 14 days have passed. You don’t have much to lose by trying.

Anyway to answer your original question, I recently had a package delivered 5 weeks late with no tracking status updates in the interim, not even an acceptance scan which had the buyer seriously questioning that I even sent it. A lot of people incorrectly assume because there are no tracking updates then nothing is happening. In my case it did get delivered as promised, just really, really late.

Sure, when someone prints a USPS label at home it immediately creates a USPS webpage for that tracking number. The site will say something along the lines of shipping label created but USPS is awaiting the item to be delivered. When USPS comes into possession of a package they will scan it at that location and that’s how tracking is updated.

I’ve had packages delivered to me or sent to others that for some reason never get scanned until they are delivered to my house. Most of the time though they are immediately scanned and properly put into the tracking system.

In this particular case I’m fairly certain that the person actually did send the yoyo’s and USPS just lost them.

Ohhhhhh nooooo

I’m pretty sure your box and mine are part of the same lost packages from January. I have a TK Mini in it’s original tube that’s waiting to be scanned. I’m hoping that there’s a box at the post office that someone has just overlooked and they’ll discover it any day now.

But yeah, it’s going on two months now.

^ this. They start an investigation after 14 days or so esp if it’s not been scanned for awhile. Not sure what happens if you don’t have an initial origin/acceptance scan (always get a receipt if you’re the sender).

I know people love to roll their eyes at USPS (and I get why) but this has actually yielded results for me twice: once for a Honey Badger coming straight from Zipline Strings and once for something I mailed out. The former looked like it got into a fight with a freight elevator door and the latter took a 1-month or so hiatus but in both cases they reached their destination (the Honey Badger about a day or so after my call).

One time I had a package sitting at some random post office for a few days several states over. According to google the town only had one post office and I found the number so I figured screw it I’m gonna call and see if anyone picks up. Guy picks up and I explained the situation, so he was like yeah let me check and puts me on hold. My man comes back and says “yep got it right here” and let me tell you how much I could not believe that worked

So the wait wasn’t the worst, but I did notice the package shipped from East coast, to West coast, back to East coast.

Also, yoyo East coast vs West coast battle when?

Won a set of comic books on Ebay. Shipped USPS form New Jersey to Kentucky, … by way of San Francisco, CA. Took 6 weeks. Made it to California the first week, then sit there for 5. No updates on tracking, then suddenly appeared in my mail box.

Yeah I’m actually dealing with one of those coast-to-coast-and-back (I hope) shipments right now… never a comfortable situation

Oh, I was told the USPS distribution center they would normally have gone through was shut down due to covid.

In December I sold a G2 Reaper to @Mhoodlum and it was lost in the mail with zero updates for over a month. He and I both tried contacting the post office multiple times, opening lost mail claims and trying to locate the package. They told me it was in one location and then it never showed up on the tracking. Then, all of a sudden it said it was out for delivery and was delivered, but it never reached him. We don’t know if someone stole it or if it was delivered to someone else’s house or what. USPS basically told me to kick rocks there was nothing they could do. Couldn’t file a lost mail claim or anything. They refused to look into it any further. :man_facepalming:

Sorry this is also happening to you. Hopefully it gets resolved soon! As others said, it seems like they respond better when you keep bugging them, especially in person if you can. I know this reply doesn’t offer any help, but I wanted to share a recent experience because this rarely has ever happened to me. Super frustrating!

What’s even crappier, I’ve traded and sold other yoyos around the same time and after the Reaper went out and they were all delivered within a weeks time. Like, what gives? Good luck!

6 months for me, that was a nightmare.
luckily, all right in the end.

And another one going for the 2nd month - some Markmont formula strings I got 19th January.

I think first class is more reliable than priority at the moment.

I got 3 international deliveries via USPS to Korea recently, all of which took 1-2 weeks each.

Unfortunately though, my most recent one I’m waiting on rn has been stuck in San Francisco for over a week as of now. Who knows how long it will take?
