Let's break the Shoot the Moon record together

-Boring video alert-

Gave this another go with a vintage 1998 Stealth Raider (double looped). My final number on this go was 215.

7.5 foot ceiling, had to sit on the floor., neck support of the couch definitely helped a lot…is that cheating? haha

I reached a moment of zen and lost count at some point…but just kept going. This is so much fun!

I only counted 214!

Haha! JK.

That was awesome. I did fast forward to the end though.

Broke my personal moon record yesterday! Up to 133, love how good the Ti Respawn is for shootin moons.

Excellent work! It looks like your head got tired at the end there.

No video has ever made me want a respawn more.

Very nice dude! Those are some very smoooooth STMs

My neck gets sore enough by 10 that I usually give up :joy:

Close your eyes…and feel the rhythm…then you won’t have to look up. Mind you this is coming from someone who has yet to Shoot the Moon a single time.

Got some great input on this trick in Cleveland last week.
So glad to get help, but now I have to try to break some bad habits and in a way I feel like I am starting over. It seems to be one of those tricks that can always be improved on.
But if it was easy, everyone would do it ;).

Did you get shareable tips?

Well, the first thing I was doing was maybe not throwing high enough on the fwd throw, it’s a pretty shallow angle or V . The second thing is I was maybe throwing too hard, i have to develop the feel for letting gravity do more of the work, and focus on keeping the yo-yo centered. That’s most of it, but it really does feel like I have to change old habits.
Oh, and I had heard that the yo-yo shouldn’t get super close to your throw hand, but they get very close, Bill de Boisblanc says he sometimes rolls it right by his thumb.
