Late Night Confessions

Anyone have any huge regrets not involving family or life decisions but rather, yo-yos?

I really wish I didn’t sell this one. It weighs heavily on me sometimes…….someone actually complained the 50$ I was originally asking was too high. I would gladly pay beyond that in today’s economy. Cheer me up! Show me those bad decisions why don’t you.

A few years back I traded away a Summit (I can’t remember what I traded it for) and have still not fully recovered from that one  I also sold off a Noah that I should have hung on to…definitely in my top 5 throws I’ve owned (and the Tide was a really nice throw too)

Lesson learned: think twice, trade/sell once lol

LA Olympics Gold Coke Russell :disappointed:

The price was fair, but I won’t see another without a long hunt or overpaying

i didnt listen when they said not to unscrew yoyo all the time or to use duct tape to protect axel when holding it with pliers, all of my first yoyos are stripped

I spent $40 on a ceramic bearing instead of putting that money toward a nice yoyo

The bearing is in my Shortcut which cost less than the bearing lol

that’s awesome! i almost did that early on but stepped back from that ledge just in time

I took my original Dif-E-Yo Konkave out of my Widesport and popped it in my Starlite so see if it changed how it played, now it’s siezed to bearing plates. Too afraid of damaging the bearing to pry the plate/ adaptor things off.

The starlight plays amazing now, so I got that going for me. It’s serious transformed it into one of my smoothest throws and it’s a GITD plastic dated 2010 lol

I used to wash my bearing in dish soap and water. It rusted very well!
Instead of doing a loop knot, i did some random knot 5x in a row to make it tight
I used to get string with loops pre tied into them, and never cut them
I eat food in my yoyos
I change my string every 5 seconds
I am friends with someone who constantly party emojis me @Des :man_facepalming::skull::rooster:

I don’t regret selling anything but I do regret buying a few… for example, it was super dumb of me to mindlessly and happily buy four $100 yoyos I kinda wanted INSTEAD of buying one nice $400 yoyo I really wanted but balked at the high price tag. As time goes on, the more I realize I appreciate quality over quantity.

My very first yoyo. A hub stack (yes hub stack) modded one drop M1. Sold it or traded it or something and never should have.

My main yo-yo regrets were probably just my lack of care for them back in the day. Again I was a kid and still learning but I had a full YYJ lineup that just got obliterated, including a custom dm2 that was my all time favorite .

However biggest regret collection wise was not necessarily yo-yo related. Traded my entire Yugioh deck (years of collecting and some really nice cards ) for a stupid pocket knife. I was 12 .

I regret letting my brother use my “Freehand 1” that I was going to mod… He was 3… You bet that thing practically shattered after he threw it.

Occasionally I miss my Mk1 sliver… I know it just lives on my brothers shelf collecting dust next to funko pops

Offer a trade for back for another funko!
