Ello, the name’s Wilson,though most call me Will or even Ferret, a given nickname from high school. 19 of age and I just picked up yoyo’in from what I think would be like a 10 or so year hiatus, played with yoyo’s around 9 years old and had the basics down,friend gifted me a Mosquito and I picked it back up. Horrible compared to a most on the forums most likely from what I’ve seen and read, so yeah, hoping to get better through this and many more. Recently ordered a PGM (yes I can bind so hopefully I’m good to go :P) and awaiting it’s arrival. (Fixing to check mail now for it XD)
Hello my name is steven. Don’t know what to put here really. I’m kinda a shy. 32 years old single dad. I used to yoyo when I was a little boy. My first yoyo was a yomega brain. It broke 1 week later haven’t picked up one since. Recently my daughter came home with a yomega brain her friend gave her and I was hooked again. Knew all the beginers tricks from when I was little. So I went out and bought my own glow in the dark yomega brain. Hit the floor and busted the axle. Got another glow in the dark and started watching andre on youtube. First trick I learned was split the atom cuz it looked cool. As I was trying to do a lot of the intermidiate tricks I quikly became aware my Ybrain needed more then15sec sleep time. Went to toys r us got an imperial and butterfly. Ouch. And they say there not automatic my butt. So I went to yomega website and purchased the gamma brain wing. I’ve made it half way through the yomega dvd that came with the gamma when I found this website on a search for more articles on yoyos. During that time my gammas insides broke for no reason cuz I stopped hitting the floor after the firstbrain. Yomega said they would replace it but after me having 2 broken and my daughter breaking 3 I got her I’ve decided no more cheap crap from yomega or duncan. I did all my reaserch on mods and weight diameter gap physics and everything else you can think of. I know how to bind well. Even a one handed bind. I like 1a 3a and 5a. Now looking for new yoyo.
Go Metal, Hercules! You won’t regret it, unless you like the lightness of your plastics. Trim your string, and learn bearing maintenance and you’ll be unstoppable. (not saying that the Yomegas didn’t just take a crap because they’re amateur quality, that’s probably exactly what happened)
Or you can not because Metals arn’t the best thing for beginners

In my opinion, the only difference between metals and plastics is the ability to achieve smaller builds with a similar weight. Also, grinding, if that’s your thing. Plastics play just as well if built right, plus they’re cheaper.
I highly recommend the protostar myself.

Hi yoyoers I’m 25 y’old and I started yoyoing a few months ago since then I’ve had (in order) a few duncan Imperials, one duncan butterfly, yomega fireball, pocketPros Zombie, yomega xodusII, duncan metal zero, YYF loop900, YYF firedog, YYF Grind Machine, two Duncan pulse and my last addition a YYF Yuuksta. As I said I started yoyoing a few months ago but I’m already doing (YoyoExpert) advanced tricks. I’m currently practicing “the zipper” and “boingy boing” I suck doing “loop the loop” and all looping related tricks.
Most of the yoyos I have bought in yoyoexpert.com as toysRus only brings a few Duncans and Yomegas and there aren’t many (any at all) yoyo stores around here (where I live), that’s when I started looking online for yoyos and found yoyoexpert.com
I found out that yoyoing is a great hobbie; I don’t even play with my playstation3 anymore.
My favorite yoyo is the Yuuksta, I have the gold orange edition with center track bearing.
I like watching yoyo performances and competitions in YouTube.
Jensen Kimmit is one of my fav players as well as John Ando, Yuuki Spencer and many others.
