Hey My Name is Gabriel, I hail from Cali 8)
Ive been yoyoing for 3 months about and I do consider myself an Intermediate play (at best :D)
I originally just went to my local hobbie shop to pick up something entertaining and I started my adventure on a simple Transaxel HyperSpin After a While I discovered the Yomega X-Brain and after about half a month I let the Beginner days behind me I knew I wasnt going to get anywhere with a yoyo with a brain. When I got my first yoyo I started surfing youtube for yoyo trick clips and saw expert village’s Andre Boulay and he got my started on my first few tricks after researching sites i found yoyoexpert It was simply a holy relic of all things yoyo. Now I come here to learn all of my tricks
I currently Play on a YoyoJam Dark Magic II and My Favorite tricks (2) are the Yuuki Slack, and the Matrix. Can i do them, No :stuck_out_tongue:
I hope to get better and better each day like some of you out there Its really cool to watch what people can do with something so simple its Amazing.
Thanks for Reading.

Ehh…
Oh well. Hey there! I’ve been yoyoing more or less for 3 months now with a Henry’s Viper, and just recently bought a Protostar which i found 1000 times better than the Viper.
Other than that i’m Norwegian (that explains the bad English) and currently serving in the Norwegian Army in HMKG (His Majesty the King's Guard - Wikipedia)

Hello, my name is Lizzy. I found YYE by searching for new tricks on google and thought it was an awesome website. I’ve been obsessively on the site for a little while and thought I should make a profile. I got into yoyoing when I was about 4. My dad hardcore yoyoed when he was my age now (14), so I made it my goal to be better than he could ever dream of. That goal was actually accomplished thanks to you guys! I learned everything here. Even with my few yoyoes, I learned a lot of new stuff. Currently I only have yoyoes that I’ve picked up at tourist shops or the dollar store :stuck_out_tongue: , like my Duncan Butterfly, that have very short sleeping times. I hope to get a Dark Magic very soon! 8) so awesome… Thank you for everything! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

hey im dave and I’m an intermidiate yoyo who wants to learn more.I just got the dm2.

I’m Dan. I yoyo. I probably suck for how long ive been doing it but its fun. I hate the grind machine unless its messing around 5a. My wooly marmot is gripping and its making me mad because i love it when it doesnt. i love my ministar right now.

Welcome all of you. Enjoy the haven for yo-yoers.

It’s nice being around people who understand your obsession. ;D

hi my name is ryan and i have been yoyoing for a year tomorrow and my favorite yoyo currently is the protostar my favorite trick is a trick i made called L.M.B and i heard about this from my friend who is great at yoyoing

hey guys
my name is denny. im a 37 year old guy form arkansas. a couple of weeks ago i took my son to a bakugan thing at toys-r-us. bored out of my my mind i was drawn to the end cap that had the
yo-yos on it. since i was a small lad ive used to always have a duncan imperial in my pocket. there is just something theriputic about watching the thing go up and down. well while sitting there looking at all the different kinds of yos, i got my trusty iphone out and start searching for the most recomded beginner. i picked up a yomega brain. it was aperant that i would out grown this one in a short time, so i ordrered a fireball, and a razor vampire. i found this site while trying to find out how to wind a string on a bb yo. found a great vid on how to do it. seems like shilds play one i saw how to do it. right now im loving my fireball, but i can see getting into more advanced yos.
as far as tricks goes, i can get the yoyo to come back up most of the time. you know its hard to teach an old dog new tricks, but im gonna hang in there. look forward to getting to know all you yoyos

Hello I am Liam and I am sort of new to yoyo but new to this forum. I only have 2 yoyos a yomega maverick yoyo and a duncan metal zero yoyo. I am dying for a dark magic yoyo so I can do more tricks. I will it buy from anybody.

hey!
I’m Shadr. I’ve been yoyoing for 6mo’s discontinuously. DNA is my main throw atm. Revolutions has to be my all time favorite trick, even though it’s not the most technical one I do… and I hope that I get the best out of this forum!

And I hope we get the most out of you… ;D JK.

This forum is great. Welcome to the Forum!

Hey guys, this is one of my first post here. My name is Donny, I’m 28, I live in Minneapolis, MN, USA. I picked up yoyoing about a month ago after watching Jensen Kimmet winning Canadian Nationals(?)on youtube. The next day I went to my local yoyo shop Air Traffic Kites and Games, and I asked the guy working there what a good, modern yoyo would be. His name is Mick, he’s from the Danger Committee that was on America’s Got Talent. He does the MasterOfYoYo tutorials on youtube and on airtrafficonline.com. He’s an amazing Juggler and Yoyo player. He recommended the Viper Neo, naturally being a fan of Henry’s and Juggling. Mick being a great yo-yo player and teacher, I took his advice and picked up a blue Viper Neo. While the Viper Neo is a nice yo-yo for off-string, it wasn’t really what I was looking for. I was more looking for something 1a.

So a couple weeks later, I picked up a blue Protostar after reading tons of great reviews saying it’s the best plastic out there, and plays much like a metal. I was really really happy with the performance of the Protostar! It’s definitely a great yoyo, although some vibe at times because of a bad throw. After playing with the Protostar for a couple of weeks, and seeing all the awesome high-end yoyos, I grew hungry for a nice metal throw. I saw a lot of cool looking yoyofactory yoyo’s like that Primo, Superstar, Skyline, Genesis, some great CLYW’s yoyos like the Gnarwhal, Wooly Marmot, the Peak, the Bassalope, I saw a nice yoyo from SPY the Stryker. I though I had made up my mind that the next yo-yo I purchased would be one of these.

So today, I went down to Air Traffic yet again to purchase a new yoyo . I took a look at their stock of yoyo’s, unfortunately no Strykers, no Genesis, no Superstar, no Skyline. They did have a Primo, but i was smooth without the grooves. I wanted one with grooves for better grinding. Then I feasted my eyes on something even better! The Big Brother Juvenile Offender! Prior to actually seeing it in person, I had dismissed it because of it’s name. That was stupid. After having a very enthusiastic conversation about yoyoing, I was allowed to throw it, usually they don’t all people to try out the metal yo-yos because of how expensive they are. The media blasted finish is amazing for grinds. Dead unresponsive, binds only when you want it to, very very smooth. I LOVE THIS YOYO. I couldn’t be more pleased. I purchased the clear(gray/silver)/blue, and it’s beautiful. I talked to the guy working at the store, he said he got the black and red, but wished he would have got the blue/gray. Personal preference I suppose, but the gray/blue looks amazing in the light. I would not hesitate recommending this yoyo anyone looking for an upgrade or for a full-sized metal throw. I’m still in awe. If you’re holding back on purchasing one of these just because of the name, please don’t. Don’t jugde a yoyo by it’s name, just as you should not judge a book by it’s cover. The name is not printed anywhere on the yoyo. I’ve always loved yoyos since I was a kid with my Rice Krispies glow in the dark Duncan Imperial. I remember one time, years ago watching a teenager do Split the Atom. I thought it was the coolest trick. I looked everywhere for one of these new age yoyos, but could never find one. Since then it’s been out of sight, out of mind, figuring I’d never find one of these yoyos. That was until I seeing Jensen Kimmet, and heading to Air Traffic and seeing their huge stock of unresponsive yoyos, and seeing how far yoyos have come. It’s been turning into an obsession (healthy), and I’ve even had a dream about a yoyo recently. I don’t think I’ll ever touch the collection of some people, with dozens and dozens of metal yoyos, but I do plan to pick up a new yoyo every couple of months, if I can afford it. I’d like to thank everyone in the yoyo community for keeping the hobby alive and growing and flourishing.

Hi. I’m Frankie. I’m 10 years old. I only started yo-yoing a few weeks ago but I’m in the intermediate level tricks. My favorite yo-yo that I have is the Velocity. My yo-yos are the Velocity, a Freehand, and a Fast 201. I won that Fast this weekend at the Tennessee State Yo-Yo Contest in the Sport Ladder. I came in third place. I’ve been working through the list of videos on this website. Right now I’m working on the Double or Nothing. I’m pretty good at my trapeze but don’t get it all of the time so I’m kind of working on both at once. I’m thinking of turning a pencil box into a case for my yo-yos. I’m excited to join in the forum and learn lots about yo-yos. ;D
