Introduce Yourself!

Hi my name is Steve I have yoyoed since I was seven, but didnt really get into it until last year when I purchased a hitman. Now i use a 888x and yoyo incessently sometimes 7 hours a day.

Well people,my name is Bryan i’m 16 years old.
I love to yoyo, all day everyday. You see me anywhere i WILL have my earphones on and be using my yoyo. I listen to mostly metal, but i can listen to other things too.
I got into yoyoing about 3 months ago because i saw someone do a crazy trick and i KNEW I wanted to do the same. From that day forth i haven’t stopped using it. At first i bought one of those really cheap yoyos to just start a bit. Now i currently use a Yoyo Factory FAST 201. Just got it not that long ago but i like it so far. It is a pretty good yoyo. But once i get money i’ll get me a Darkmagic. Well there is more but i’ll just cut it here. :] ;D

Hi. I’m Tommy and I would consider myself a novice at yoyoing. Here is my yoyoing experince. One day I was walking home from a friend’s house and I went into my room and a yoyo. I picked it up tried to yoyo. I did’nt to good but I kept practicing and I became better.

hello peoples! my name is randell short (AKA ā€œfrankā€) and me and my fiance` (laura whipple) are the proud owners of a string company called chaos yoyos. i see a lot of familliar faces, and a few new ones too! trying to spread out and network a bit more i guess. i hope this forum is as enjoyable as others i frequent.

for anyone who doesnt know who we are, you’re probably thinking ā€œchaos yoyos? why not just chaos string company or something like thatā€ well, the idea is to start with strings and work our way up to yoyos. anyway we’re working on that. one of these great days! for now we’re concentrating on cutting edge engineering when it comes to string making, and any of our customers will tell you how much attention to detail and quality we hold our name to. one day it is mine and laura’s hopes to have the same said about our yoyos! one step at a time though i suppose.

Welcome to YYE frank!

Hi!
I’m yoyogirl72. I am 13 years old. I started yoyoing about… 2 months ago. I looked at these forums alot and decided to make my own account. I am working on advanced part two and some expert stuff. I currently use a protostar. I got interested in yoyos when I found my older sisters old yomega x-brain in a drawer. I decided to get my own. I got a yomega raider. I decided that I wanted to do string tricks so I ordered a yoyojam journey. After finishing intermediate I decided that I wanted to upgrade yoyos so I bought my protostar. I recently purchased a sunset trajectory nxg, but I like 1A better than 2A. I watched the Minnesota State Yoyo contest this year. I’m thinking about competing next year. I have already got one of my friends started in yoyoing. I just want to spread how great it is and improve myself. Thank you all for this site. It has really helped me in my journey.

Welcome to the forums!

yah, i saw you in chat that one time… welcome, u know, it seems there are more girls into yoyoing these days… this is good…

Hello, my name is Brian and i’m a nineteen yo-yoer. I started march 18, 2009 when i got a black dark magic, and I’ve been throwing ever since. I’m a local politician and community activist and I’m just building my collection and learning the everything there is to know about yo-yoing.

Welcome to the forums Brian!

Hello, my name is Justin. I work for a game store in Arizona that started selling a few yoyo factory yoyo’s and got one on a whim one day. I started looking around the internet for tricks to learn and stumbled across this amazing web site. Since then I have picked up a Speed Dial, then the Hectic and I am working on Advanced tricks.

welcome, welcome, if your looking for more tricks i’d check out highspeedyoyo.com and youtube.

Yo! I’m Johnny i started yoyoing after getting a dollar tree yoyo. ever since then i have improved amazingly. my friends call my yoyoing a yoyo diseases cause i have made a lot of people in my school start yoyoing. i have made a small yoyo team and i am team captain. yoyoing has changed my life. it is no longer a toy it is life.

Hi,

I am Jez, 30 years old and getting married next year.

I was part of the coke yoyo craze in the early 90s when all we did was around the world, breakaway and walk the dog.

About a month ago I saw a guy called Grant on youtube doing some amazing stuff and thought that I want to be able to do that so I started to look into Yoyo’s and different tricks.

I bough a Henry’s Coral Snake to try some looping tricks and quickly realised that I really wanted to do string tricks so I bought the Dark Magic.

After throwing a lot with the DM my hand started to bruise so I got Henry’s Viper as the rubber wings looked a little better for my hand…this is crap.

I am really keen and throw at every opportunity, much to the annoyance of my fiancĆ©e…the Yoyojam bearings are v.loud.

Recently I bought a Mini Motu and 10 Ball bearing to ease the pain of my other half.

It was about this time I realised that I was getting slightly obsessed and maybe should lock my wallet up!!

I have now vowed not to buy anything more (apart from string obviously) until I can master the Matrix, Buddha’s Revenge, Barrel Rolls and Boing E Boing…so not for about eight months!!! I am still having trouble binding everytime

I learn everything from Yoyo Expert, YoPlay and Highspeed Yoyo…and now this forum.

Being an old man with grey hair and an almost wife I don’t really get much support from my friends and family so these are the only places I learn.

Anyway, if you have read this far well done, I wont bore you anymore.

Good luck, if you have any tips for me they are greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Jez

Welcome, i don’t think it will take you 8 months to get matrix. I’ve been yoing for 4 months and i’m well past the master section. It sorta depends on how much you yoyo though…

Yeah, some people learn faster than others, and some people have much more time to practice than other people. I’m the latter for both. If I’m lucky I’ll have an hour a day to practice (now less on Mon.,Wed. and Fri. because I’ve started jogging at lunch), and I just now started nailing split-bottom mount, after working on it for the last several weeks. But I’m excited about that, since now I can work on Split the Atom, Mach 5, and Boingy-Boing.

Anyway, welcome Jez, and keep up the practice. Btw, my wife has said that I can’t buy any more yoyos for right now either. But the handful I have will last me for a while.
