Hey! My name is Grant. I have been yoyoing for about 1 year. I fooled around with some cheap yoyos for the first 8 months of that year. I am on the advance part 1 and only have a few more tricks to learn for that section. I like to learn tricks on my own time. So I guess I will see everyone around. :-\ uhh… See Ya I guess.

I’ve just recently started yoyoing. I’ve had a nostalgic moment about yoyos not long ago and I’ve heard something about them getting a “bit” more complex then going down and coming back up, so I’ve searched it up and got, among the rest, to this site. I am currently using a Dark Magic (unmodified) and I am using the learn section of this site (I almost finished the intermediate level). I’m hooked, and I hope to get better soon.

I’m Dave- a 28 year old 8 year old whose passions include but are not limited to Yo playing, Music, and Martial Arts.
Though I’ve only been throwing seriously since december of '09, I have had a passion for what the yo-yo is capable of since I got a first run yo-ball way back in the mid 80’s! I have had several yo-yo’s over the years given to me or I got on my own as a kid. I’ve been collecting unwittingly for many many years. My prize piece (as a collector) is a Marsupelami (old disney tv show) imperial style with 3D graphics from BK I think. Not too sure, I should research that, eh?
I have 3 kids, the oldest boy has “Yothrowitis” and has a wally-world Mosquito that I modded with extra weight inside to increase sleep time and he tries real hard. :
I currently throw a yellow Duncan Freehand 2 (with only one response sticker) and a Yomega Maverick. I love my Freehand but it doesn’t have the sleep I need to learn tricks even with only one R-sticker. The Maverick is the top of the line Yomega makes and it’s crap. The response system sucks hard and it has a wicked shimmy about 80% of the time. But it sleeps about twice as long so it gives me my “idiot time” to learn with.
My GF says I can get TWO new yo-yo’s with our tax return! Hello Duncan Freehand Zero and YoyoJam Dark Magic! ;D
I got hardcore into the Yo when I ran into Jeff Coons of Team Duncan throwing some serious 1A at the Boston Museum of Science in Boston MA on a Screamin’ Eagle that he said was custom for Team Duncan players just before the line came out. Yoyopunk is good people and really cool about talking to aspiring Yonoobs like me.
So when I got home I dug out my Duncan Avenger and did a web search on Yoyo tricks and found this amazing site! I had to switch up to my Freehand 2 that I had bought years before but ignored cause it wouldn’t comfortably fit in my pocket 
So now I’m an addict and my GF says she’s impressed with what I can do but she can’t watch too much cause she’s afraid I’ll bust my teeth.
Okay- lastly- My SN is a mix that my GF came up with a while back for me. I’m a Martial Artist and an instructor at the Dojo. Dojo + Yoyo = Yojo.

Let’s talk about yoyos:
I started to yoyoing one year ago. When I started to yoyoing I only do throw and catch (Gravity Pull) . I couldn’t sleep it. But I can sleep it now. Besides; I can do yoyo tricks. I’m in intermediate section now. I have a storm eagle advanced yoyo. I learnt yoyoing from the yoyoexpert. I learnt yoyo through the yoyo trick videos in there. Through the videos I can share cool tricks to my friends. I became impressive through the tricks. But I want to do cooler tricks and more impressive. So I am watching the videos after that I am practicing it regularly. I want to be a professional yoyo player in the future.
Hello yo-yo world, I’m Brian. I’m 26 years old, married, and have two daughters. I used to yo-yo in middle school. My wife bought me a Fireball for Christmas 2007 and I was hooked again.
Most of my yo-yos are YoYoJam. I really respect their company. I don’t have any by YoYoFactory and I’m having a hard time buying anything by YoYoFactory, as they have sold out and started manufacturing yo-yos in China. Keep the jobs here in the US; I’ll pay extra for it.
I’m in love with the Atmosphere and Dark Magic for 1A, Aquarius for 4A. Sunset Trajectories are a huge step up from Fireballs and Raiders.

[img]Hello yall i am new of cours well i have been yoyoing for a long time and desided too step my game up too a free hand witch i think was a mjor step up for my level well anyway i love any and all yoyo tricks that i can learn too do my first yoyo was the yoyo pro with the egal on it in red and blue i still have them too now let me say my free hand that i have is a great yoyo but i think my strings are too short for the tricks when i see other players use thers it seems that the string is a lot longer, and anyways dont wont too rambel too much but hear is my tec ? when i throw my free hand to sleep it sleeps sideway a liltle what am i doing wrong can any one tell me what iam doing worng

Try keeping your hand more straight when you throw your yoyo. This should help keep your sleeper centered.

Hello all! My name is Andreas and i just got my first “proffesional” yoyo. It’s a VIPER from henrys’. So far I can do most of the intermediate tricks but my yoyo isn’t a good enough sleeper when it comes to advanced. I just had birthday and got a lot of money so i’m planning on buying a dark magic!

I have a lot of yoyos, maybe too much and made many friends on this forum.
Hey all, my name is Lance, and I love to throw my yoyo. hmmm…that felt somewhat therapeutic. I have been throwing about 6 months, but not too seriously until recently. I have learned 95% of what I know from Andre Boulays videos…so a big thanks for those. I started out with a yomega hotshot and raider ex, then got a dark magic after playing for a month or so. I recently added a String Theory Remnant and a CLYW Bear vs Man to my collection and can’t put them down. I’ve been hanging out at the meets at West Edmonton Mall on saturdays and find everyone to be a great bunch to hang with.
